German film Run Lola Run has been compared to a 70-minute rock video: nonstop action and music, and (for better or worse) not a whole lot of plot. But the premise works, as does the film's high-energy techno soundtrack. Most of the tunes on this disc are credited to the trio of Tykwer/Klimek/Heil--the threesome of film director Tom Tykwer, techno producer John Klimek, and Rynhold Heil (best known as the producer of German pop import 99 Luftballons by Nena). Included are several remixes of the movie's main themes, the bass-heavy "Rock Me" by Pills, and "Wish," featuring the vocals of Franka Potente (Lola herself). There are a ton of soundtracks that have employed dance music, but few work as successfully as Run Lola Run. There's a cohesiveness to this dark and furious mix of beats that your typical compilation just can't muster. --Jason Verlinde

This movie is wonderful! Watch it with a good sound system and a soda in hand. Great philosophical meaning behind it. And of course.. sister Franka is always eye candy. If you hate subtitles and techno then don't get it.

If you like to play computer games, this sound track is the perfect background. Its hard-driving pace increases the drama and urgency of any computer game including "Civilization."

The mixes are slightly differend to that on the movie. This was a bit of a letdown since I the movie mixes are so awesome. I have had the cd for the last year or so now and it has not left my CD changer! Great Music - Kick Arse CD!

I got the movie on netflix, and almost immediately I knew I *had* to get the soundtrack - this music is awesome. I agree with everyone who's said it would be great to exercise to - but it also has depth to it that compliments the existential question(s) dealt with in the movie, and asks them itself. this stuff is modern, edgy, deep, well done, and it really moves!
