3 out of 5 stars Great incubus tracks and....well....nothing else really.......2006-05-08

For starters, I have not seen the stealth film or have any intentions to. I bought this product soley on the premise of three new incubus tracks, (being a die hard rabid fan and all), so I cant say weather or not the tracks here form a good corrilation between the music and movie. Anyways onto the music....

Incubus, freash off their tour in support of their most recent album A Crow Left of the Murder, entered the studio for a brief time and cut some tracks which where intened to be released for the soundtrack to a major motion picture. Well here they are, and I must say these are some nice little additions to the incubus cataloge. Make a move is a standerd rocker with a sound that evokes the spirit of rage against the machine and has one of the better bridges of most of their newer material, also the single ( a good choice at that, sounds right at home on any modern rock station). The next track is a mellow kind of breezy " Admiration" which I feel is the crowning jewl of this collection. Vary infectious and emotional and I hope to god they have more material like this on their new album slated to be relased later this year. This track makes the entire collection worthwhile for incubus fans. The next and final incubus cut " neither of us can see" marks the first and hopfully last collabritive effort the band has ever pressed to cd. Nice little different tune I guess, but kind of bland. Not much to make me want to go back to it.

As for the rest of the disk, it contains some decent tracks from institue and the first glimps of the decent band The Fray who recently blew up huge. It also contains another previously released track by incubus from morning view called "Aqueous transmission" which is a stellar song and worth owning on more then one cd.

Other then that the disk has little to offer aside from a few cheesy post grunge and tecno/pop songs. I couldent give this my full recomendation, but i suggest at least finding these new incubus tracks by whatever means and giving them a spin. I just see this as a mini incubus e.p to serve as foreplay for the next opus they release. All respect due to fans of the film of course. Good day.

heeheeheeeheee. both the movie and the soundtrack were overhyped for no reason and both flopped. heeeheeheehee.

2 out of 5 stars Too much Incubus.......2006-01-23

I'm not much of an Incubus fan at all, nor am I a fan of any soundtrack that has three consecutive songs by one artist on it since this seems to disrupt the orderliness of the track lineup. This CD is also primarily poor in its selection of music, because nearly every song on here is bland and gets old in the blink of an eye. The only gems on this compilation are Kasabian's "LSF", and Incubus's exciting "Make A Move": thus far the only piece I like by the band. "Make A Move" contains a nifty blend of soul-shaking noisy guitars, dangerously addicting chord progressions, and relatively good lyrics that are at times passionately shouted by the singer. "LSF" (Lost Souls Forever) by Kasabian has neat electronic noises accompanying a good bass background and occasional violin for an overall majestic-sounding tune with especially catchy lyrics. This is a good opportunity to get this awesome song onto an I-Pod without the internet since the Kasabian album has that dratted copyright protection or whatever. Aside from these two songs, however, there are no other memorable tracks. Many of the featured tunes have dull progressions or themes for music that have been horribly overused throughout the history of rock, such as the track "Dance to the Music". Lame lyrics can also be found in abundance in David Bowie and BT's "She Can Do That", and the other included Incubus melodies are far from the powerful rock vibes evident in "Make A Move". Conclusively, the Stealth Soundtrack pretty much has an uninteresting selection of tunes and I would absolutely not recommend it unless you want the two aforementioned good tracks from it.

5 out of 5 stars Best Song goes to the Fray!.......2005-08-14

Although I think the entire album is awesome, the best song defiantly goes to the new band The Fray. Where did these guys come from? Im interested in seeing more music from them, they seem like they are a great band!!!! If anything, buy the cd for the one song "Over My Head-Cable Car" by The Fray.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome .......2005-08-09

This soundtrack is one of the FEW I have found lately that was not only great, but also hit every song I heard on the movie. No "inspired by" tracks. The only problem I had with it is that a couple of the Incubus tracks seem forced into the movie (like in the credits) and don't fit the subject. That doesn't make them any less great to listen to though. Loved it!

5 out of 5 stars A Unique Soundtrack for an equally unique film .......2005-10-09

When I saw the film Stealth I was immediately impressed with the film's action sequences as well as the film's musical score. The film's composer the group BT brings to the table a mix of celtic orchestra symphony music and electric techno rhythmn to the film that suits the very engaging high tech stealth fighter plane combat scenes. I first heard the group BT on the soundtrack of the Tomb Raider and found its rhythmn very exciting and enjoyable. Its only fair that they got to take part in composing the score for the sci-fi action film stealth. The music in the soundtrack score CD fits perfectly with the film's action packed and very sophisticated and futuristic genre and puts you right in the middle of some very intense, adrenaline pumping and often dangerous situations that the film's characters frequently find themselves in while trying to outwit their own highly advanced technology that can be just as effective at destroying them as well as being used as an ally to destroying the enemy in combat. After seeing the film, the score CD actually sounds better than most of the rock and roll artists in the film. Stealth is nothing like the competition of Top Gun. Instead, it is a high breed film that gives the audience an intriguing look into the future of 21st century military techology and how if we become too confident in its abilities it can prove to be in some cases our down fall in very dangerous situations. The message is that technology can help give us the advantage over the enemy but at the same time there is no substitute for the actions of dedicated men and women on the frontlines of the new battlefield of the 21st century.

5 out of 5 stars This is a Action Classic.......2005-09-30

I agree with the above review...
this music blew me away...even after the many many soundtracks i already...
maybe it's not quite as classical and intricate as Goldenthal's Final Fantasy...
but it's AWESOME!
the use of piano on the "Flight" cue is so inspiring
and the use of voice in a few of the cues is absolutely breathtaking!
GET THIS! Just when you thought nothing fresh and new was coming out anymore!

5 out of 5 stars Just great!.......2005-09-21

This album has everything: Lots of action and great themes.

If you like Trevor Rabin's electronic scores then this score by BT is definetely for you. It's maybe the best electronic score I have ever heard!

I can't stop listening...
