Charlie's Angels: Music from the Motion Picture (2000 Film) [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
As modern and contemporary as the new Charlie's Angels is supposed to be, the soundtrack, with the exception of a few new offerings from Destiny's Child, Aerosmith, and Fatboy Slim, is a nostalgic mix tape of 1970s and '80s hits. The older songs are fun and ripe for a party: Tavares's "Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel," Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up (Part1)," and Deee-lite's "Groove is in the Heart" are certain to please a crowd. The new tracks, with one notable exception, are weak and contrived. Destiny's Child offers "Independent Women (Part 1)," an empty declaration of female self-reliance (aren't we over this already?). Aerosmith's "Angel's Eye" is, in a word, terrible. The exception is Caviar's "Tangerine Speedo," a trip-hoppy lounge groove that packs a sassy punch. All in all, Charlie's Angels is a solid purchase, but in spite of, not because of, the new material. --Courtney Kemp

tons of missing songs.......2005-08-14
there are tons of missing songs here. Sure, they include some of the best ones in the movie, but they forget almost as many as they include. they forgot "Smack my bitch up" by prodigy (used in the alley scene with the "creepy thin man" crispin glover) and even when Dylan, Alex and Natalie are trying to infiltrate Knox's "base", the song that plays is "Leave you far behind" by Lunatic Calm. A pretty good soundtrack. . . a-hem. . . a pretty good part of a soundtrack.

To Miss G who asked in May what is the name of the song playing right before Knox betrays Dylan...it is "Got to give it up" by Marvin Gaye.
fun to excersise to.......2005-06-17
this is a very upbeat funky c.d. to walk on your treadmill to. keeps you movin!
Dot - Destiny's child is great! .......2005-06-17
I love that track, its not in the movie, but its still nice.
To that reviewer wanting to know what that song is called, it is called got to give it up, be aaliyah.
missling link.......2005-05-22
another to add to the list is fatboyslim's push the tempo playing during the helicopter chase towards the end. does anyone know what the disco track is that knox dances to before betraying dylan? i'd love to get hold of it.
