This adolescent compilation will appeal primarily, if not exclusively, to the cult following of South Park, Comedy Central's animated series about four naughty boys obsessed with bathroom humor.

This Album is a Keeper.......2007-05-19
It is so refreshing to get a n album that gets the humor of South Park. I bought it for 'Chocolate Salty Balls,' but was pleasantly suprised by the rest fo the album. This is a 'Must Have'.
good songs from the shows.......2007-03-27
alot of good south park songs but needed more of naughty ones on it,but its worth buying if you enjoy the show
Hilarious! .......2007-01-20
When I was a kid, I bought this album (the edited version) and thought it was great. Now, as an adult, (eight years later) I re-purchased it and it's funnier than ever! The songs are well written and fun, but very explicit, so not for children. I find myself wondering how on earth they got the artists to agree to do this album. A must for any South Park fan!
Just what these troubled times require-- CHEF AID !!!.......2006-08-07
This album rocks hard and it's a lot of fun. There are some pretty big names singing and doin' their thing here: The Crystal Method/Ozzy Osbourne/DMX/Ol' Dirty [...]/Fuzzbubble get together to perform "Nowhere To Run (Vapor Trail);" and Mase/Puffy/Lil' Kim/System Of A Down all rock on with "Will They Die 4 You." These songs have a great beat and they don't mince words, either!
Other great songs include "Simultaneous" sung by Chef (Isaac Hayes), "Wake Up Wendy" by Elton John and the very funny [...] performed by Mousse T. Vs. Hot 'N' Juicy! "Feel Like Makin' Love" has Isaac Hayes as Chef to make it a bit better sounding than if Ned Gerblansky had sung it solo; and "The Rainbow" by Ween is also pretty good. A personal favorite of mine is "Come Sail Away" performed by none other than South Park character Eric Cartman himself. SMILE
There's a wide variety of styles on this album. "Will They Die 4 You" comes from the world of rap (with just a touch of hard core rock and roll added in); "Simultaneous" has a R&B flavor to it; and "The Rainbow" is very influenced by psychedelic '60s music.
The quality of the sound is excellent; and the liner notes are pretty good, too! Song credits are given. Matt and Trey, the creators of South Park, had the best help anybody could ever ask for with this album!
I recommend this CD not just for South Park fans, but also for fans of rap, rock and roll, R&B, and for people who just plain want a CD that marches to the beat of its own drummer. It's also great for people who collect CDs based on original soundtracks of a movie or a television series. Kudos to these great artists who made this CD a reality! Enjoy it!
I only bought it for the Rancid track........2005-05-18
I only really picked this cd up because it was cheap and had rancid on it and glad i only payed a few bucks for it.Its made as a Live show in south park with chef being the Host.I only really like 3 of the tracks on here Rancids brad logan,Mase/puffy/lil kim and SOAD and Ozzy.ODB and DMX.The rest of the tracks are just random artists (Master P,Elton john, meat loaf, joe strummer and a few other celebrities) probably only worth buying if you are a big south park fan or if you have spare change.

Illustrious talent!.......2006-03-22
This magnificent live in-concert CD opens with the South Park Theme by Primus, assisted by the lovable urchins (is that the ill-fated Kenny's muffled voice?) and concludes with a distinctive sound associated with the Canadian superstars Terrance and Phillip. Chef charmingly introduces the artists, from Crystal Method, Ozzy Osborne, DMX and Dirty Ol' Bastard doing Nowhere To Run after a rather rude introduction. This is followed by a stunning solo performance by Chef on the soulful Chocolate Salty Balls.
A highlight of the album is Eric Cartman's stirring rendition of Come Sail Away, performed with a maturity that belies his age. This is really gorgeous. Brad Logan by Rancid is a passionate slab of angry rock as is Hot Lava by Perry Farrell. The South Park urchins appear with Wyclef Jean on the tuneful ballad Bubblegoose. Wake Up Wendy sees Elton John in a rocking mood on this great love song with its rollicking keyboards, whilst Huboon Stomp by Devo represents a welcome return by these 1980s new wavers and Love Gravy is a surprisingly soulful duet by the legendary Ike Turner and Rick James.
Feel Like Makin' Love by Ned Gerblansky sounds like something by The Residents, and another highlight is H°m0 Rainbow by Ween, sensitively introduced by Chef, and what a beautiful rock ballad it is! Speaking of which, Meat Loaf puts in a sparkling, if somewhat over-energized, performance on his duet with Chef, Tonight Is Right For Love. The chef manages to restrain him, and they conclude the song in soulful harmony to rapturous applause.
Next up is Joe Strummer with It's A Rockin' World, an impressive old-style rock song. Mentally Dull by Vitro and the South Park Cast concludes this riveting live album and here one can hear not only the urchins but their wonderful mothers too, on a fabulous grand finale. Chef Aid is remarkable in its diversity, with shlt hot rock, hip-hop, funk and smooth soul by the lovable Chef himself; it's the best live album in my collection. Sure it's a bit rude here and there but so is popular culture nowadays.
WTF?! BL&U was Actually Good!!!!.......2005-12-18
I really like the soundtrack to Bigger, Longer & Uncut, but this completely sucks! At least the movie soundtrack was actually funny while being controversial. This one only has the latter! Avoid like a plague!!!
Vote Stan!.......2002-12-03
I really recommend this cd to all South Park fans. I like its country like sound effects and Cartman's singing has improved, but really I like Stan. If you're a fan of South Park and you're a Stan fan, you'll like the way he sings. If you like South Park and you don't like Stan and you wish he was dead and not Kenny, maybe the way Stan sings'll change your mind.
Not Bad, But Cartman's Singing Is An Acquired Taste.......2000-06-20
The "concert" for Chef that is a South Park TV soundtrack has both its good and not-as-good material. Some of the rap is good (Master P's "Kenny's Dead" is a highlight) but see how much you can take of Cartman's version of "Come Sail Away". Even for a serious South Park fan, it can be a little much to take.
LIVE ON, SOUTH PARK!!!!.......1999-04-26
Cartmen is the best!!! Buy it for "come sail away"

"Ooh, suck on my chocolate salty balls / Stick 'em in your mouth and suck 'em." If that line offends you, not only should you stop from reading any further, you should definitely avoid South Park at all costs. Rabid fans of the deliciously disgusting animated series, however, will rejoice at how perfect this disc is; rather than hand you a whack of semi-whimsical material, the South Park boys chose to give the people what they want, and what they want is plenty of songs by the cast of South Park, not just about them. So alongside SP-related performances by Master P ("Kenny's Dead," on which he raps, "My little homey Kenny died tonight"), Perry Farrell ("Hot Lava"), Elton John ("Wake Up Wendy"), and the bizarrely paired Ozzy Osbourne and Ol' Dirty Bastard ("Nowhere to Run"), you'll find the best of the best: songs sung by the original cast. Most appropriately, there is plenty of Chef (a.k.a. Isaac Hayes) action, including "Simultaneous" ("I'm talking 'bout you and me and Winona Ryder / Simultaneous"), his love song for Kathie Lee Gifford ("No Substitute"), and the aforementioned "Chocolate Salty Balls." Chef Aid's undisputed champion track, however, is the tender, passionate, and incredibly touching Styx cover, "Come Sail Away"--performed with more emotion than Neil Diamond could ever muster--by South Park's head cranky son of a crack whore, Cartman. Fans of the show will also be happy to know that this is not the sung-at-top-speed version, like in the episode, but instead a fully drawn out, tortured-artist cut. So often, the funniest ideas on TV translate to the lamest recordings alive; happily, this is not the case with this collection. --Denise Sheppard

Chef Aid.......2006-12-26
This is one of the best tv-based cds that it has been my pleasure to own. It never fails to make me laugh my a** off when I listen to it. Some of the songs could have been better than they were, but it was still a gut-busting cd. Overall rating 5 of 5.
good mix!!!.......2004-07-16
aint no where 2 go, sailin away(cartman version), ride w/ me, chefs songs, im horna, ecst. there all great and hilarious too!
Now all they need to make is a faith +1 cd =)
Come sail away with me, you guys!.......2003-10-20
This CD documents a concert given in support of South Park's own Chef. Chef hosts the concert, and he also sings a few of his greatest hits. The concert features a wide variety of performers. There are rappers, punks, hard rockers and even Elton John! Not all of these performers will appeal to everyone, but all of them do turn in good performances. My favorites here are the performances by South Park residents. Chef, of course, is great, especially on "Chocolate Salty Balls". Eight year old Eric Cartman sings "Come Sail Away" with a maturity beyond his years. And Ned Gerblansky sings "Feel Like Makin' Love" with a lot of soul. I'm sorry I wasn't able to attend this concert in person, but at least I can enjoy this recording of it. And you will enjoy it, too!
The best music!.......2000-05-30
I don't know where to start so I'll just say that I LOVE THIS ALBUM TO DEATH! I've played it over a million times, and I know the lyrics for each song by heart (especially for my 3 fav songs "Chocolate salty balls", "Brad Logan", and "Come sail away"). All the music is cool, even "Kenny's dead", which is surprising, because I usually hate rap music, but this CD makes you think differently, and not only is the music entertaining, the lyrics make you laugh, because they are witty, and poke fun at alot of thing s in South Park!
joe strummer and puff daddy on the same album?.......2000-05-19
my main two reasons for buying this cd were for the joe strummer track it's a rockin' world (for all the little kiddies out there joe strummer is the former singer for the greatest punk band ever, the clash-they started it all! the tune also has flea on it,from the chili peppers (my fav. band for the past 10 years!)two of my fav. music acts!)and i got it for the rancid tune brad logan (many of you probally don't know that brad logan is the singer for the hardcore band f-minus on tim armstorng,of rancid hellcat label...they're also a great band!)the rest of the cd is ok but not that great! i read 1 review about the songs not having much to do with southpark! why should they? cheif aid was a benefit concert for cheir and bands played their own tunes (the special on cheif was great too-i wished that i taped it cause it featured joe strummer joking about how cheif named the clash and flea was also on there!)i'm not a fan of rap (i do like bands like public enemy!)so the rap didn't appeal to me (the wyclef song is ok)the rappers were added to get more attention to the cd (puff daddy at the time was the biggest thing in the world!)primus is a good band but the song on here isn't their best and i'll stick to their songs form sailing the seas of cheese. perry farrell hasn't really put out anything inspiring since jane's addiction broke up (porno for pyros had some good tunes). i bought the album at a store (used cd) so i was happy i didn't have to pay the full price for 2 songs i wanted! to me the strummer song is worth getting this cd for but to most of the people reading they probally still have no clue as to who he is! ok album but the 4 stars go to joe/rancid! i was a little mad that trey/matt didn't have the cure on here (it's only their favorite band). i guess since they had robert smith on the orgasmo soundtrack that should've made up for it for cure fans (it really didn't though!)oh well! go check out trey and matt's movies too! cannabill the musical, orgasmo, baskettball, and south park the movie (all are great!)
