5 out of 5 stars better than the first one.......2007-07-05

highly recommended soundtrack for all fans of Buffy-verse and not fans. Although this cd has less tracks than the first Buffy soundtrack, the pieces are better and the selection is amazing in all senses. I never realized about the really good music Buffy serie had on the background.

5 out of 5 stars Love!.......2007-04-13

I adore this CD. However, I don't remember most of the songs actually playing during the show. Probably just my fuzzy memory. The ones that stick out more clearly in my mind are on the Album, like Virgin State of Mind that played during one of the vamp Willow episodes. One that is sadly missing from both CDs is Goodbye To You by Michelle Branch that played during the episode that Tara moved out of the house. That was a truly memorable Buffy moment.

Nonetheless, I think it's great.

4 out of 5 stars Eclectic mix.......2007-02-12

Although your better choice would probably be getting the UK version of this CD (which costs more) this version stands on its own pretty well. All of the tracks have appeared at some points on the show through seasons 1, 5, 6 and 7. My only complaint is that they could have included better tracks that were much more important to Buffy, rather than some forgettable tracks that played in the background of the Bronze.

Track listing:

1. Buffy Main Title Theme >> The Breeders.
Good enough way to start out the CD. Sounds very different and grittier than the actual theme song.

2. Stop Thinking About It >> Joey Ramone
Very addictive and good song. Appears in the episode "Beneath You"

3. Bohemian Like You >> The Dandy Warhols
Upbeat and also addictive. Appears in the episode "Checkpoint"

4. Everybody Got Their Something >> Nikka Costa
Very different feel from the rest of the songs, but welcome. Appears in the episode "All the Way"

5. Key >> Devics
Possible one of the greatest songs to ever appear in BUFFY. The atmosphere and sound of the song completely takes you back to season 5's "Crush" with Spike and Dru.

6. Sound of the Revolution >> Lunatic Calm
Okay song, could have done without.

7. Ballad for Dead Friends >> Dashboard Prophets
The gem from season 1! Awesome song!

8. Blue >> Angie Hart
This hard to find song is much appreciated on the soundtrack. From the episode "Conversations With Dead People"

9. Pavlov's Bell >> Aimee Mann
Awesome song from "Sleeper". Aimee Mann rocks.

10. There's No Other Way >> Blur
Very cool sounding song. Still, I don't even remember hearing it in Buffy.

11. The Prayer of Saint Francis >> Sarah McLachlan
This is probably the best reason to get the U.S. version. The song is so hauntingly beautiful and perfectly went along with the episode "Grave"

12. The Final Fight >> Rob Duncan
Worth the price of the CD alone. Wonderful score from "Chosen"

Overall, there are some better songs that should have made the cut, like "Full of Grace" or "Out of this World" by Bush.

5 out of 5 stars No reason to complain........2005-10-04

First, I have the UK version of this. Yes, it has a few extra songs. But I've seen a lot of complaints here about the music choices. People are asking "why didn't they include stuff from the earlier seasons?"

The reason they didn't and instead focused on the last 2 seasons is that there was already a Buffy Soundtrack released several years ago. It had all the older stuff. It had Rasputina, K's Choice, Cibo Matto, and a lot of other things. It was released in 98 or so and you can look it up on amazon. It's really good, I have it, too.

3 out of 5 stars I would spend the extra and get the UK version.......2005-08-05

This one is OK, but the UK version has many many more tracks. 22 I think. Either one is a great buy for a Buffy fan though!

...a must have for buffy fans... some cool tracks that the u.s.
album did not contain.

...my fav's - sugar water , and dead men w/bombs...

5 out of 5 stars Welcome to The Bronz and environs.......2006-01-22

The music is a very fresh mix of artists who are not mainstream pop. The spectrum goes from thrasher metal(The Nerf Herders) to aucoustic folk (Aimee Mann) and all of it is quite listenable and most of the album I rate as excellent. The only disappointment is that they could have included a discography that tells the listener what episode the song was used in, that and of course that they couldn't include all of the soundtrack music played on the show as there were several more good pieces to be heard, but it probably would've needed a 6-8 disc set.

5 out of 5 stars Better than the U.S. version.......2005-11-07

All 21 tracks on this CD are great, and even though the price is considerably higher than the 12-track domestic version, I think that it is worth the extra money. The selection is diverse and takes you back to each of Buffy's seven extraordinary seasons. The three songs that are on the domestic version that are not on this imported version are "Stop Thinking About It" by Joey Ramone, "There's No Other Way" by Blur, and the "Prayer of St. Francis' by Sarah McLachlan. This last song is the only one I really miss not having on the import that is on the domestic version. The only other song from Buffy that I really missed not having on this CD was "Goodbye to You" by Michelle Branch. In my opinion, that song's performance in "Tabula Rasa" was one of the best uses of music ever made by the series, and there were many good moments to choose from. Another must have CD for the Buffy fan is, of course, the soundtrack to the musical episode "Once More with Feeling". Since this episode has its own CD, there is no music from that episode on this CD.

5 out of 5 stars Great Mix of music for Buffy fans.......2005-09-23

This is a great collection of music for Buffy fans, and it was even worth the additional cost of being an import. It starts out with two great songs("Everybody Got Their Something" is my new favorite song), and has a pretty solid mix from there. I highly recommend.

5 out of 5 stars Radio Sunnydale Rocks!.......2004-06-14

This quickly became my favorite cd to have in the car. An excellent mix that will conjure up memories of series moments in any true fan.
