Gone In 60 Seconds (2000 Film) [Explicit Lyrics] [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
Nicolas Cage plays Randall "Memphis" Raines, a former legendary car thief (who could guarantee any car "gone in 60 seconds") drawn back into the life to save his younger brother from an unfortunate fate. Surprisingly, the music accompanying this car-centric action film isn't the high-speed chase you might expect. Instead, it's a diverse, textured amalgam of styles from the heated polemics of Ice Cube (the explicit version of "Roll All Day" is on the soundtrack, the censored version is in the film) to the art rock of critics' fave Gomez ("Machismo") and the acclaimed electronica of the Chemical Brothers. Perennial soundtrack contributor Moby delivers the previously unreleased moody trip-out "Flower," while the Cult perform songwriter-for-hire Diane Warren's "Painted on My Heart," which is essentially the AOR the band once sought all those years ago. Best are the collaborations: Groove Armada, featuring M.A.D., handle "Rap," an ominous, layered, keyboard-based rap, and BT, featuring Soul Coughing's M. Doughty, up the beat cycle slightly for the psychedelically driving and heavily melodic "Never Gonna Come Back Down." --Rob O'Connor

Awesome Soundtrack!!.......2007-03-09
For those of us looking for the song "Low Rider" by War, check out the soundtrack for 'A Knight's Tale'. That is another great soundtrack that is worth listening too!!
Song?.......2005-05-21
Does anyone have the instrumental to BT's Never Gonna Come Back Down? It had a part I really liked that I couldn't hear with the vocals in the background. It's the song they play while they're hotwiring the Ferraris (and Sway says "Hello, ladies. Always was a sucker for a redhead.").
Not bad, but not great either.......2005-01-18
A few of these songs are downright awful (Moby's "Flower," in my opinion being one), but a few are also pretty good. Trevor Rabin's "Boost Me" is easily the best song on this CD and is almost worth the price of the disc alone (especially considering the fact that most conventional albums only have 1 or 2 good songs anyway, also at an average price of over $15 apiece). Naturally, the biggest gripe most people have about this soundtrack (myself included) is the absense of "Low Rider." I suppose they weren't able to get the rights to put it on the album for the same reason "Thriller" didn't make it onto the 13 Going On 30 soundtrack (prohibitive licensing fees), but it's still an all-but inexcusable omission.
what were they thinking?.......2004-11-19
I can't believe some of the songs on this soundtrack...they are horrible pieces of S$#!?*&%#!#$!There are a couple good ones, but its not worth spending the money on for the c.d,not even at a used price.I can't believe they did'nt put "Low Rider" on the soundtrack, how cheap is that?
Merci !

what the hell??.......2006-04-06
I'm looking for the song at the beginning of this movie.....IT HAS WORDS NONE OF THIS TECHNO GARBAGE!!!!! If anyone knows the name of this song please please please email me at derek_n_kourt@telus.net as I have been looking for this song FOREVER!!!!!
Thanks
gone in 60 seconds is the best.......2004-03-20
i loved the movie so much that i had to have the soundtrack for it i got to say this movie rocked and so did the soundtrack i think that it was one of the yeasr best and will best one of the following years best the movie and the soundtrack. gone in 60 seconds was in my top 5.
Rabin is awesome........2003-09-09
Trevor Rabin's electronic scores have always particularly appealed to me. He gets such action in the movies he does, though, that the best parts of the song are often no more than twenty seconds long, with about a minute of intro, which is dark and mysterious, also worth getting.
Wish it was over in 60 seconds.......2002-11-04
I like Trevor Rabin and most of his music, but this is an exception. Some of the tracks are decent, like "Porsche Boost", "The Last Car", and "Roundabend". The music sounds more like a rock album than a score, but it fitted the film perfectly, which is all that really matters. This score shouldn't have been released in the first place. I bought it before I saw the film, which I should have seen the film first. The music is loud and head throbbing with synthesized loops, techno pulses, electronic rhythms, and an electric guitar. Some of this sounds o.k. in the tracks I mentioned above. For the most part, this music didn't leave a good impression on me at all. The orchestra is buried underneath the synthesizers, but does stand out in a few parts. Do not listen to this score at a high volume or expect a massive headache. This is one of those rare occasions where i'm glad the score is under 30 minutes long. If you like loud, obnoxious noises and sounds, this score is for you.

The whole family enjoys this collection of one-minute songs from various artists. I enjoy the varied styles on the CD. Well worth adding to your music collection.
What a great idea!!!.......2003-12-11
What a great idea it is to be able to hear one minute songs from so many wonderful artists. As an educator and mom I totally recommend this record as a very fun sampler of 1 minute original tunes. Yes there is great music for children outside of toon land. Very well done.

Not all songs included.......2007-06-28
I really like this soundtrack, and I'm very glad that I got the edited version. However, I was disappointed that the soundtrack did not include "Low Rider", which is in the film. Overall, however, I enjoy the CD.
GREAT MUSIC - wrong title?.......2003-01-09
Well at first the music on this cd is great. i know them only from the net but i'll by the cd because thats just great music. of course only if you like fast and sometimes hard music. it's like a mix of techno, (hard) rock and rap.
And to your question the titl "Lowrider" from the movie i know at different names like "Moby - Flower", "Trevor Rabin - Boost Me".
If you hear Moby - Flower it should ne the track you are searching for.
I gave 4 stars because it's really great music but 5 stars are for stuff thats really not to beat and for that there are some things missing.
low rider???? where are you.......2001-01-07
The only song i wanted to hear is not on the cd. I hear its hidden what is the trick to finding it?
Awesome CD.......2000-06-18
This cd is awesome. If you liked the matrix soundtrack, or if you like techno, or both, then you will love this cd. Definetly worth it.
Great for summer.......2000-06-12
I really thought this was a good Soundtrack especially for travel this summer! Nothing is better than rolling down the windows in my Y2K Toyota Cellica and crusing to "low rider" and some other hits from the CD.
