When it comes to morphing, Power Rangers producer Haim Saban is no slouch himself, having seen his efforts at translating and marketing a '70s Japanese kids' action show originally called Dinosaur Task Force Zyuranger blossom into a billion-dollar pop-culture empire. This soundtrack chronicles the musical side of the Saban/Power Rangers saga, collecting 16 tracks that span the 1990s' "Go, Go Power Rangers" through the show's Turbo and Zeo phases to its more recent Wild Force incarnation. For the uninitiated, the music here is a long way from cutesy Hanna-Barbera jingles; Saban (who's credited with cowriting many of the tracks) and his studio sidemen have concocted convincing facsimiles of everything from bracing, metallic techno-thrash to harmony-driven modern rock and the swaggering hip-hop of "I Will Rescue You." Powered largely by thunderous bass and drums and punctuated by screaming guitar solos, it's an unlikely bastion for Metallica-lite speed-metal sensibilities, but one that fits its flashing spandex heroes to a "T." --Jerry McCulley

4 out of 5 stars Power Rangers CD.......2007-06-29

I love this CD. I love the show, whenever it airs. THe whole stuff rocks. Cool stuff.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent!!!! A Must for Power Ranger Fans!!!!.......2007-01-16

This was bought for our son and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT!!!! The cd is a great addition to any power ranger collection and perfect for that Power Ranger Fan. The songs on the cd are from most of the power ranger seasons and again is great. I would recomend this to anyone looking for a different type of power ranger item!!!

5 out of 5 stars Best Of Power Rangers Sound Track.......2005-06-24

I like this CD but I need lyrics to every song because I "mishear" words.

4 out of 5 stars "The Best of Power Rangers"? I don't think so!.......2005-03-26

When I got this CD at ToysRus, I thought it was going to be good. When I saw that "Go, Go Power Rangers" was going to be on it, I was estatic! I havn't heard that song in a long time! I thought it was gonna be either the short theme or the full version. I was wrong. It's pretty good, but NOTHING like the original! Who ARE they kidding?!? Really! Don't get me started on that crappy Power Rangers Turbo theme! It sucks! Nothing like the original. And I would know! I'm 15, and I've watched the power rangers ever since MMPR! Hey, Whoever put this CD together! Next time u make a PR CD, Put most of the theme songs, like the full Go, Go Power Rangers, the ACTUAL Power Rangers Tubo theme, PRIS, PRLG, PRLR, PRTF and the ACTUAL wild force theme. REMEMBER THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

3 out of 5 stars Somic old, Somicthing New, Somthing borrowed, something blue.......2004-07-14

This CD is both exciting and dissappointing. Why? Here's a breakdown:
Go Go Power Rangers - Gag me with a spoon, this is nothing like the orginal

Power Rangers Wild Force Theme - This sounds close to the orginal, though I haven't heard much of the themes between PRiS and PR:DT.

Best of the Best of the Best - Sounds like one of the fight songs, its okay

Power Rangers Turbo, Go! - ANOTHER joke like "Go Go Power Rangers"

I Will Rescue You - New, different, the first song on this CD that impressed me

Hope For the World, Power Rangers Zeo, and Go Gold Ranger - Can be found on the Power Rangers Turbo CD. Good because that soundtrack is hard to get anymore. Bad because I heard it all before.

Here Comes the Power Again - Poorly named, this is NOTHING like the song that was on the Turbo soundtrack. This should of been named "Here come the Rangers"

Enemies Beware, Invincible - Turbo Soundtrack again

New Rangers to the Rescue - A new one that is good to hear.

Calling for a Hero - Turbo again.

Give Me a Sign - New one that follows the theme of "I Will Rescue You"

Big Bang, Unite - And we end with more Turbo orginals.

Final Thoughts: If you don't have the Turbo Soundtrack, get this. If you're looking for the orginal PR songs, or have the Turbo soundtrack, or simply don't like the new music, save your money.

1 out of 5 stars Not what we expected.......2005-05-23

The songs all sound the same.I expected various artists with various sounds, but the basic tunes are the same. They don't even sound like they do on tv. The entire album has a tinny quality and there are only three theme songs from actual Power Rangers shows. My 6 year old was excited to get it but it was put away after the first day of listening. Your money is better spent on a DVD.
