The Song At The Mall.......2005-08-02
I, too wanted to know what that beautiful background song was at the Mall, lol. It's called 'Tears From The Moon' and it's on this CD, so if you want that particular version of that song, you're in luck!:)
Could have been more like the first. No NIN's :(.......2004-04-01
I loved the first tomb raider cd. Though I was alittle disapointed when I heard this one. There are 5-6 good songs and the rest are a fly bye. Their first one had more hard pounding techno and the songs were also really good. But this one doesn't seem as energetic. It's still good, but compared to the last one, they could of put better songs in it. But if your a fan of techno and alternative than I would buy it. SO GO GET IT.
song at the mall?.......2003-12-31
All I would like to know right now is the name and/ or artist of the song that was played at the high rise shopping mall in China.
The Album That Rocks the Cradle (of Life).......2003-09-28
I obtained this album in the hopes that it would be like its predecessor, which I enjoyed thouroughly. I was surprised to find more rock songs on this album, but I grew to like it just as much:
-"Heart Go Faster" by the Davey Brothers. A nice rock song with a solid melody and beat. A good start, somewhat reminiscent of U2's "Elevation."
-"The Only Way (Is the Wrong Way)" by Filter. A softer rock song that's even more reminiscent of a U2 song.
-"Bad Girl" by Alexandra Slate. Another rock song with a more blah-ish melody. Not bad, but not particuarly good either.
-"Satellite (Oakenfold Remix)" by POD. Part rap, part techno, with a good beat. It's cool.
-"The Last High" by the Dandy Warhols. Soft alternative rock song that's certainly worth listening to.
-"Time" by Saliva. My personal favorite of the album. This hard rock song has a great melody, great lyrics, and a great sound overall. Awesome!!!
-"Leave You Far Behind" by Lunatic Calm. A chaotic heavy-techno track. I think it's cool.
-"Jam for the Ladies (Jason Nevins Remix)" by Moby. A hefty trance track, with some rap involved. Another good Moby track!
-"Starting Over" by the Crystal Method. Softer techno track with some string instruments, guitar, and disjointed vocals.
-"You Can't Look Away" by Sloth. It's back to hard rock with this adequate song.
-"I Hate This" by Nadirah 'Nadz' Seid. A rap song with synthesized instruments. Lyrics may be offensive to some, with its talk of violence and rage. Otherwise, it's good.
-"Reason is Treason" by Kasabian. Rock song with solid beat and slightly overdriven vocals. Another good track.
-"Into Hell Again" by 3rd Strike. Hard rock song, borderlining metal. It's alright.
-"Tears From the Moon" by Conjure One feat. Sinead O'Connor. Soft track between techno and chill-out, with powerful lyrics.
-"Flight to Freedom" by David A. Stewart. Instrumental guitar track without a beat or apparent melody. I'm not too impressed by it.
-"Pandora's Box" by Alan Silvestri. A piece of the film's score. It's not dramatic or hard, but it still carries a sentimental note in it. A pleseant end to the album.
NO KORN?.......2003-08-31

A quick owner's review of Alan Silvestri's score........2007-07-02
Alan Silvestri needs no introduction. As one of the best film composers in the business over the last 20+ years, he certainly knows what goes into a great score. After buying Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life I fell in love with the adventurous main theme.......but that's just about the ONLY thing you get to hear on the CD! It seemed like Alan had very little time to compose the score and the result was a main theme repeated so many times that listening to it becomes less and less enjoyable. The track titled "Pandora's Box", however, was excellent. Different from the other music heard on the CD, Pandora's Box was a somber, yet beautiful piece heard near the end of the film. In my opinion, the CD is worth buying just for that track (not to mention the main theme). Is it one of Silvestri's best scores? Nope, but any Silvestri fan probably wouldn't mind buying it.
Not-So-Great Movie; EXCELLENT SOUNDTRACK! Nab it!.......2005-08-11
(...)
This soundtrack is one of Silvestri's best to date. It is full of emotion, action, and wonderful ochestral themes. From the asian flutes from the movie's Chinese scenes, to the techno beats of the action sequences, to the melodic melancholy of the BEST track "Pandora's Box," this CD is worth every penny.
In my opinion, it trumps even the latter two Lord of the Rings scores (both of which only shone on the Rohirrim tracks; Fellowship was a different story).
No matter what your qualms are regarding the Lara Croft franchise, or the films, this score is a RARE GEM! Nab it if you see it! We searched through TWELVE STORES to finally nab it at a Border's booksellers (the third we searched in Chicago).
This Is The Best Soundtrack I Ever Herd!.......2004-10-20
Im a big fan of Angelina Jolie I love her movies exspecily Tomb Raider And Tomb Raider Cradle Of Life! I hope everybody likes this movie and listens to the soundtrack this cradle rocks! Angelina Jolie is best actress she's a good actress. Everybody should give this soundtrack five stars!
Craig Armstrong got left behind.......2004-02-09
This is one of Alan Silvestri's best action movie scores to date. It is loaded with percussion and some beautiful themes. However, for those of you who are dissapointed about the music from the Lab Scene, I know what the story is on that. That music was not composed by Alan Silvestri, it was composed by another film composer by the name of Craig Armstrong. Craig has done scoring for such movies as "Kiss Of The Dragon" and "Plunkett & Mclaine". Craig's film scores are rarely ever released and when they are, they are even harder to get a hold of(trust me I know from experience). So unfortunately, as awesome as the TR2 Lab Scene music sounded, it will probably never see the light of day on a CD. I have even tried to find it by using download programs and I was unsuccessful. Although this is a great silvestri film score, for those of us who loved the Lab scene music, we will probably only ever hear it in the movie itself.
Excellent soundtrack.......2004-01-31
The cradle of life is a fantastic masterpiece of original motion picture soundtracks. This cd has everything that most soundtrack lovers would like. Most noteable on this cd is the track "Pandora's Box". This song has so many emotions its hard to explain. This track will leave you breathless because of its emotion. I recommend this cd for all people who love soundtracks.
