Must have for all music fans.......2004-06-28

As a long time anime fan, I remember when I first saw the Macross anime series the music gripped me and I had to have it. I finally was able to find it and I was glad I did. This music will keep you moving as well as have very emotional pieces. The song "Voices" will make you want to fly,"Idol Talk" will make you want to dance and my favorite, "Bad Dog" is eerily and hauntingly beautiful. I myself actually use this CD to exercise to and it will keep you moving. It is an ecletic mix of jazz, pop, and techno. Yoko Kanno is a phenomenal composer and I heartily recommend for everyone to buy this CD.

Music has always been central to the Macross series, and Macross Plus takes it one step further. The second CD really showcases Yoko Kanno's diverse skills and features some incredible chill tracks, high energy dance tunes, and some sweet Jazz.

I have friends who haven't seen the series tell me how much they love these discs. Get them while they still publish them.

I wanted to say that I have never watched any of the Macross anime but I loved the music on this soundtrack.

There's a pretty wide variety of songs on here; many are off- beat (Bad Dog) and some are charmingly odd (Let's News ). The majority of works are lush. Melodies and samples build on each other, producing rich textures of sound that remind me a little of Enigma -- but with a much greater diversity .

A great soundtrack, glad to see it's available again. Some excellent tracks here, but I would recommend grabbing Vol. 1 as well - they complement each other and both really hold some indispensable music for those who love the series.

It's nice to buy a CD you'll really listen to long term. This is one of those albums.

Re-Release of Another Great Macross CD.......2001-07-16

Hi! This is the re-release of the Macross Plus Soundtrack, Vol. II originally put out in '95 (which is also listed on ..., but is out of print). The tracks are: 1-Idol Talk (who doesn't love this song?), 2-Jade, 3-Nomad Soul, 4-Welcome to Sparefish, 5-Go Ri a Te, 6-Let's News, 7-Pulse, 8-3cm, 9-Voices (acoustic version), 10-Pu Qua O, 11-Sweet Feather, 12-A Sai En, 13-Bad Dog, 14-Child Myung, and 15-Coma. As you can see, it has the same songs as the original NA release and the import-- so save some $ and buy this one (you can use the $ you just saved to get Vol. I ^_^ ). This CD has the great music that Macross Plus is known for. A great buy for any Sharon Apple fan, or someone just getting into the series!
