Even among film soundtracks, which can be eclectic to a fault, what a cheerfully demented hodgepodge this is! Liza Richardson, from LA's taste-making KCRW radio station, has pieced together a saucy juxtaposition of satirical and salacious Anglo and Latin tracks, a perfect sonic commentary for the sexy, Golden-Globe-nominated film. Her range is astonishing, moving from Eagle Eye Cherry's bizarre yet touching version of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody" to a hilarious, lounge-lizard take on Kraftwerk's "Showroom Dummies" by Señor Coconut. Cafe Tacuba, sounding like Spanish-language androids of the Fifth Dimension, make the scene with "Insomnio," while Bran Van 3000 is haunted by early Pink Floyd on "Go Shopping." Believe it or not, it gets weirder, as Natalie Imbruglia, Falco Jiménez, Molotov vs. Dub Pistols, Frank Zappa, Brian Eno, Marco Antonio Solís, and La Revolución de Emiliano Zapata are heard from--and how! --Christina Roden

Great Drive and party music.......2007-06-16
If you enjoyed the film you will want to bring home this CD. Tracks #3 & #13 are easily my favorite. Perfect for taking on a long summer drive. Very upbeat music and romantic as well. A must have for any Cinco de Mayo party
Feeling It.......2004-04-14
Most soundtracks don't stand out in a movie. This particular soundtrack had my eyes and ears plugged in. All the songs on it are amazing. A Bildungsroman (coming of age) of captivating memories and eloquently narrated. I definately give my thumbs up to a swell movie and a soundtrack that does justice to the idea of a Bildungsroman.
loved it!!!.......2004-02-18
Great soundtrack... Though I was kind of bummed that the song that was playing when the "batteries died" in their radio wasn't on. I discovered that particular song is called By This River, by Brian Eno. It was also played in The Son's Room.
Fantastic soundtrack for a fantastic film........2004-01-20
This is the best soundtrack I've ever heard, possible one of the best CD's as well. It introduced me to the wonderful word of rock en espanol, which I am now completly addicted to. I went out right away and bought a bunch of albums of the artists featrued on the album, like Plastilina Mosh ( a band which is also referenced in the film - Tenoch slept with Julio's girlfriend after one of their concerts) Cafè Tacuba, Molotov, and Bran Van 3000, all of which are faboulous bands. Another one I would recomend is Volovan if you like the Mexican music in the soundtrack. This is a fabulous CD and i would recomend it to anyone looking for some new music to spice up their CD player with. And if you haven't seen the movie, what on earth are you waiting for? It's great!
Good Soundtrack.......2004-01-09
This is an acceptable soundtrack, but I need to know what's the name of that song that plays when the guys are road trippin', and one of them changes the radio and causes his friends to complain...This very song also plays in "Storytelling". Please, I need to know.

The best!!.......2002-04-19
This soundtrack is the best. The movie is the most best and realistic movie I have ever seen in my life. I love the way the whole documentation was, so real. If I could rate this soundtrack higher, I would. (20 stars in my book.)
