think Dragon Ball Z rocks."

Product Description
From the composer: Over the past three years I have received a lot of emails and phone calls asking if I would ever release the DragonBall Z background music (the soundtracks) on compactdisc. Well, I have been listening to you and have been working hard to make your requests happen.

I really enjoy writing music and working on DragonBall Z. I first met the gang back in episode #68 when Gohan and Krillin were on Namek waiting for Goku to arrive. Vegeta was scary and hard to figure out, and always thinking about himself, but what's new there anyway?

And who would ever figure out Bulma?- She is awesome and unpredictable. But aren't all the DragonBall Z women awesome and unpredictable? You know, ... Chi Chi, Maron, Android 18,Videl, ...

I can tell you that over the years the range of musical styles needed to cover this epic story has been huge. And if anyone ever asks you if you're havin' fun yet...tell ‘em I said yes! Thanks to all of you out there who kept after me to get these CDs out. I hope you enjoy the selections, and if I missed one of your favorites, let me know.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Enter the world of DBZ..........2006-10-31

I recently purchased volume 2 and 1, respectively, in
fear that Volume 1 would contain earlier unrefined music.
I was wrong. Volume 1 easily holds a candle to Volume
2. The first CD certainly uses more electric guitars
which gives it a harder sound, which should be pleasing to
those that enjoy hard rock. And, of course, we get a lot
of futuristic synthesizer mood music. You get music from
the Andoid Saga, Trunks, Cell, and Garlic Jr. Sagas in
a total of 25 tracks.

I don't understand those that whine about the American
version of DBZ when most of the DVD's contain both versions.
In my opinion, the American actors brought much to the characters,
giving it more of a cartoonish feel versus the original Japanese
voice actors which sounded too much alike and far too serious.

1 out of 5 stars Not DragonballlZ.......2006-08-12

The U.S is th eonly country that dubbed over the original voice acting and the music from DBZ. The Japanese version is far and away the best version of DBZ, when gohan is fighting cell, when goku finally kills majin buu that music is the best music, So much lost in the american version the actors SUCKED sound more lik ethye were constipated than powering-up, the series was ruined here. This soundtrack isnt even close to As good as the "original" version of Dargonball/Z/Gt

4 out of 5 stars for the fans.......2006-01-11

In response to the last reviewer, "CDole", I would like to say that although I respect the Japanese version DBZ, and I have watched it, and yes it is the true original story, I ask you to please bite me. I don't speak Japanese, therefore I find the music, acting and dialogue from the American DBZ far more appealing. I know most die-hard fans from the beginning of Dragonball shun the American version, but hey guess what, I'm American, so I enjoy that one a hell of a lot more. And for the record, even if I spoke the language, the Japanese DBZ's music totally SUCKS!
The music on this CD is awesome...it is part ambient dance music, part drama, part synth[some of it sounds a bit dated, late 1980's, but it fits the story], part kick-ass rock ["Destruction", "Vegeta's Theme"]
It says right on the CD sleeve, "American Soundtrack" so if you are one of those whiney fans who like to pretend the American version doesn't exist, then don't buy this CD; end of story. But if you are a fan of the popular AMERICAN version of DBZ, casual or obsessed as I am, get this CD...it's a great dramatic emotional ride. Thumbs up, Mr. Faulconer.

1 out of 5 stars This music is ridiculous........2005-08-02

Not only does funimation rewrite the story of Akira Toriyama's classic series, but they also decide to dub over good music. Why replace a beautiful orchestral soundtrack from the people of Toei animation with cheap keyboard tunes from so-called musician Bruce Faulconer. DBZ fans should broaden their horizons and respect another cultures taste in real music. In other words, don't buy this CD.

5 out of 5 stars All of the auesome D.B.Z songs packed into one CD!!!!!!!.......2003-12-23

This CD is good for people that don't love DragonBall Z.
I'm obsessed with D.B.Z and all you other fans know that this one auesome CD!

It's also for a very good price.
The songs are wonderful, they're all from the show except for two, king cold and future trunks songs.

They have the best songs like "Gohan Fights Frieza","Heroic Trunks","Vegeta's Theme",and "Vegeta-Super Saiyan"!!!!

Now i'm gonna read off the booklet:
"Thanks for the e-mail,calls,and letters aboutyour favorite DragonBallZ music from my American Soundtracks. There's action, drama, suspense, reflection, mystery, and all those elements that embody the D.B.Z epic.I hope this CD helps you along your journey and carries your imagination to that magical place where D.B.Z dwells. Here are 25 tracks of your favorites.I can tell you there were to many tracks to put on one CD!Thanks for joining me in the journey.Bruce Faulconer"

i hope you buy this CD!!

sincerly,
kenny
