Fruits Basket: Four Seasons [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews
Product Description
The warmth and emotional angst of the popular anime series Fruits Basket will always hold a place in the hearts of anime fans, as will composer-lyricist-vocalist Ritsuko Okazaki, who headlines the image soundtrack, "Fruits Basket - Four Seasons" with her indelible, soft vocals on the full length versions of the opening song, "For Fruits Basket" and the ending theme, "A Small Prayer." This 11-track CD also features three new Fruits Basket image songs all written and performed by Ms. Okazaki (Stratos 4, Princess Tutu), as well as six tracks of sweet, dream-like symphonic melodies that soothes into the listener's heart and mind with an uplifting charm.

Only Japanese.......2007-01-14
If you want only the Japanese songs of Fruits Basket, get this CD. the English version of the Opening and End themes is not included. I was disappointed when I bought it because I'm looking for the English ones and can't find it anywhere.
Sweet tribute to a composer.......2007-01-04
This is a must have for those die-hard Furuba fans, especially fans of the anime. The sweet ballads and melodies of Ritsuko Okazaki's songs for the series are presented here in their entirety (versus the minute-long snippets used for the show credits). I purchased this CD solely for owning the opening theme song (made all the more poignant with the knowledge of the composer's passing). As a soundtrack, it's what I would call "standard anime," but Okazaki's haunting, childlike voice make the vocal songs memorable. The whole CD is tinged with a sadness, whether intentionally by the composer or by the listener, who has the knowledge of the composer's death. As one previous reviewer stated, "sweet and bittersweet."
Sweet and Bittersweet.......2006-11-11
The Fruits Basket anime would not be as touching and emotional if not for the wondrous music, music which moves in and out of the scenes like another character. Last year, I purchased Fruits Basket: Memory for You and I adore every single track. When Four Seasons was recommended by Amazon, I didn't hesitate to buy it.
I know I'm repeating myself from my other OST reviews but here it is again...I was not disappointed. What makes Four Seasons better than Memory for You is there are more tracks featuring Ritsuka Okazaki, whose voice was one of a kind. The emotion she put into each song makes me both happy to have discovered her work, and sad that she passed away. (Serenade makes me tear up. I'm such a cry baby.) The instrumental tracks aren't too shabby either. I highly recommend this soundtrack for Fruits Baskets lovers and anyone else who wants to experience the angelic voice of the late Ritsuko Okazaki.
Fabulous songs!.......2006-08-05
This is a definite MUST HAVE for FB fans! The songs are just so soothing to the ear and the instrumental musics are just awesome! It really puts you in the mood! this is one CD which will move your heard and bring tears to your eyes... Another must have is 'Memory for You'!!!
AWESOME music!!!!!.......2006-07-06
My favorite CD ever! The music is so relaxing to listen to. My favorite song is "It Makes Me Want To Cry With Reason". The song fitted Kyo and Tohru perfectly in the last episode. You don't have to be a Fruits Basket fan to buy this CD. I'm sure anyone would like it!
