All DDR soundtracks rule, but I just love this one. It has 109 tracks on it! The beat is totally great with genres like rap, hip-hop, house,& dance tracks, its the perfect DDR SOUNDTRACK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!(...)

Finnally a game soundtrack true to the game itself. If you are a long time fan you like the music in it. This disk contain hits like Butterfly. You'll enojy this.

This is one GREAT CD! If youv'e ever played 2nd mix, and/or DDR USA, then I suggest you buy this. NOW. It contains most of the USA songs, and the Japanese ones as well. So, all-in-all, if you technically LOVE DDR, you'll buy this. I myself bought the CD then got the Dreamcast version of the game. My favorite part of this CD is that I can listen to the songs in a loop, making fun of how bad Konami did between the songs. The manual is in Japanese, so don't try reading THAT until you know Japanese inside & out. Now, back to Butterfly. Ai ai ai...

DDR 2nd Mix, with some different mixes for some songs.......2001-02-23

While most of these songs sound straight out of the arcade, a few songs have extra instrumentation, lyrics, or sound effects that are not heard in the arcade game--ex: 20 November, AM-3P, My Fire, Trip Machine, and especially Make It Better.

That detail is provided for the purists... maybe some of these songs are different mixes, or maybe the CD is such high quality and the arcade sound system is too bass-heavy? Either way, don't let this stop you from getting this, but be ready for the different sounds on some of these songs as well.

Disc 1 has DDR length songs... even if these few songs are different mixes, the time length is accurate, so it's good for learning how a song sounds, or for practice if you have a step chart from another DDR website.

Disc 2 is a non-stop megamix with extended versions, and sometimes different mixes of lots of the songs--but this is expected. Samples of the game's announcer are also heard at various points in the mix. It starts with Paranoia (but only for 44 seconds) and the energy keeps going from there. Unfortunately, mixing of "Have you Ever Been Mellow" after "I Believe in Miracles", and the mixing of "Little Bitch" right after "Brilliant 2U" kills all the energy of the mix and then it has to build back up again... but the rest of the mix before and after these energy killers just plain rocks!

For the different mix sounds on the first disc, along with the energy dying twice on the second disc... this is why it gets 4 stars and not 5 stars. It's still well worth having this soundtrack, since very few games have a soundtrack worth listening to over and over again, and DDR is one of the few games that does!

DDR!.......2000-07-18

For those who've never heard of DDR, this is hands down, the most interactive game of all time! It's basically a dancing game, where you have to literally do the moves to the beats of the songs, and the harder the song, the more you have to dance. =) It has techno, j-pop, dance, hip hop, the basic music required for a good rave. :) A must have for anyone who likes to dance =)

A great CD for a perfect price.......2000-05-10

I was utterly SHOCKED when I saw how cheap this CD is. I'veseen it for [much more money] at websites and conventions.

In this 2 disc set you get disc 1, which is the straight DDR music cuts (helpful to practice), and on disc 2 is the remix of the longer versions of the songs. Very nice.

Also, the CD booklet lists some of the secret codes that can be used in the game

Great Music! Shame About CD 2.......2001-11-01

As I said about my title this CD has really great music. But my only bad comment is on the Nonstop Megamix, it just doesn't have the same nonstop feel as 2nd and 3rd mix it just seems like the got the DDR versions of the song, randomized it and stuck them together that's it. Sure some Konami Orginals sound different but all the ones from the Dancemania series are not longer as the other two CD before it. I sure hope Toshiba Emi does a better job with 5th MIX.

The people who actually play DDR need to learn the beats of songs. I have memorized nearly every song from 3rd to 4th(PSX). Now seriously, there are about ten songs (maybe more) in this soundtrack worth listening too. Then again the 4th mix itself is pretty rad. So I would say buy it, but don't you dare pay 50.00. Try researching the CD and find it for thirty.

DDR is cooool!.......2002-09-05

This cd is really great.
BUT ITS NOT A GAME!
they're not long versons though, only 90 odd seconds each.

If that Claire, also from the UK (who was disappointed with the cd) wants to get in touch, i know where you can get games with the songs you want.
I'm assuming you're after all the cool songs from euromix.
If so, they are on 2nd and 3rd mix games from japan.
but there are also US versions available too.

Great Music.......2002-08-02

Third Mix was, without question, one of the best mixes of DDR ever released. This CD is a full compilation of songs from that game. It's too bad you need a converter to play the Japanese DDR games on an American playstation2, but if you can't play, at least listen! Awesome songs, keep the games coming in the USA!

I got fooled..........2002-03-01

I did not know this was the audio cd of the game, I thought it could be used on the playstation. Maybe the other guys are from the US or somewhere where it is actually easy to get the game,and play it,but this was all in japanese and was not compatible with my machine. I am deeply disappointed as i love the arcade game, but the Dance stage euromix (Dance Dance Revolution equivalent) is lacking in decent tracks, many are jungle-y and are difficult to dance to them. Also, most of these tracks are unheard of here and are therefore not very enjoyable. However, my favourite are Keep on moving, make a Jam, and Video Killed the Radio star. But it gets a bit pedantic if you keep playing on these tracks. If anyone is in the same situation as I am, or those of you who are lucky enough the play on the newest version, can you please let me know where I can order one? I am in dance deprivation/boredom!

Amazing.......2002-01-07

i have ordered this cd of here but it will take abit to get to me as i live in England. But i have danced and sang along to it at the arcades ive been to and i think its great if you love to dance. My favorite songs are what a feeling and in the navey!! i also like captain jack but i love them all..

I Dig His Playing.......2003-01-20

I dig His Playing can't say much really as far as His voice goes but His Foundation is very much on time too me.He is a Very Talented Player.you won't get the Minneapolis sound vibe here though.Dr.Fink comes out with something completely different here.

The Doctor Is Ultra Cool !.......2002-08-31

Ultrasound is jampacked with intoxicating, if not highly energized, funk techno-grooves. Some tracks have a hint of new age Vangelis/Enigma elements in the mix but not enough to slow the party down or make it an elevator muzak affair. Many who rememebr Dr. Fink from his days with Prince and the Revolution as keyboardist will try to look for Prince's influence...Forget it ! This is strictly the Dr.'s project. In fact, the only track that will vaguely resemble anything close to Prince is the last track titled Almost Funky (should've been titled Almost Prince). Fink's own vocals on some tracks are strongly reminiscent of a young Boz Scaggs ! There is also a bit of the Paul Hardcastle sound and Trance Atlantic Air Waves (an Enigma side project) that can be heard. Still, the Doctor has produced an awesome sound and project all his own !

Just how long have you been waiting to see the Doctor? Well it's been over 10 years since Matt 'Doctor' Fink left Prince's camp, having served as keyboardist in The Revolution and the NPG, but the wait is over. Ultrasound covers a wide spectrum of techno, technofunk and straight ahead R&B. Some tracks like "Ecstasy", "Cyber Monkey" and "Sonic Rave" stand out as great instrumental tracks ready to turn a club on its ear, whereas ballad's like "Night Flight" and Fink covering lead vocals on the title track and "Nobody Cried" (among others) all have their own unique flavor, but somehow fit perfectly together. Ultrasound, which houses a picture of Fink's first son Maxwell's ultrasound on the cover (headphones extra), is more than an impressive debut from an artist fans have long waited to hear from. Fink has worked production, writing, and even a long stint at K-Tel as special projects manager, but it's on Ultrasound that his writing, keyboard and yes singing talents really shine through. ANYONE WHO'S PLAYED DDR UM 3 KNNOWS ABOUT THE AWESOME SOUNDTRACK, WELL HERE'S THE PARTIAL CD TO IT. I SAY PARTIAL BECAUSE IT IS MISSING SOME VERY GOOD SONGS. "NARIEN NARIEN" "RAISE YOUR HANDS" "DAIKENKAI" "KISS ME ALL NIGHT" "DESTINY LOVERS" "TOGETHER AND FOREVER"
