Bounce: Music from and Inspired by the Miramax Motion Picture (2000 film) [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews

Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck may take starring credits for this Don Roos (The Opposite of Sex) film, but it's Leigh Nash, singer for Sixpence None the Richer, stepping out into the spotlight with the soundtrack's first single, "Need to Be Next to You." Perhaps a solo career beckons. However, her band is featured as well with the remix of "Love" from their 1997 self-titled debut album. Sarah McLachlan collaborates with the moody ambient group Delerium for their otherworldly single, "Silence." Morcheeba offer the moody groove of "Rome Wasn't Built in a Day." Lots of notable female artists contribute delicate, soft-rock confectioneries, from old-school Carly Simon (a remix of "Our Affair" from her latest album, The Bedroom Tapes) to up-and-comer Tara MacLean. Dido's "Here with Me" may give you a case of déja vu, since it's also currently featured as the theme song to the TV series Roswell. --Rob O'Connor

one of the better soundtracks.......2006-01-20
Fans of Sixpence None the Richer are in for a treat. The opening song, done by Leigh Nash (of Sixpence) is probably the strongest song on the disc. The remix of the song "Love" is superior to the album release, with heavier guitars and a more engaging beat. The other songs featured are suprisingly good, even though most people probably arent familiar with these artists.(Although the BT track is truly awful) A worthy purchase for fans of the movie and pop music in general. Well, actually I have no desire to see the movie, I just bought this for the Leigh Nash song.
Top Tracks of the album:
1. Need to be Next To You ~ Leigh Nash
2. Love ~ Sixpence None the Richer
3. Lose Your Way ~ Sophie B. Hawkins
4. Hush ~ Angie Aparo
5. Divided ~ Tara MacLean
"Be thankful for what you got".......2003-11-12
Thank you Richard S Pawlaczyk for your help about the missing track "Be thankful for what you got" by William DeVaughn.
This track touched me deeply. While the original CD from William DeVaughn is hard to find, I traced "Be thankful for what you got" on the album "blue lines" from "Massive Attack".

What is the name of the song that is playing when they get off the plane in Palm Springs (on the way to the water park)? It is the best song in the movie yet it's not on the soundtrack. It starts with "though you may not drive a great big cadillac..."
Be Thankful for What You Got.......2003-02-05
Love the "Bounce" soundtrack, as does everyone else who's reviewed it here. It's got a certain "feel" to it that may very well prompt future music lovers or music industry types to say something like, "Yeah, so-and-so's latest album is great, it's got kind of a Bounce Soundtrack sound to it." But anyway, this review is really for Stephanie from Canada, who wrote on 10/23/02 asking about a certain soul song from the waterpark scene. It's actually a remake of "Be Thankful for What You Got", originally released by William DeVaughan in the summer of '74. Hope this helps.
HELP!.......2002-10-24
ok, there was a song in the scene where they take the kids to the waterpark in palm springs - it's an old soul song that i don't know the title of or who recorded it originally, so if anyone can help me identify this song, i would be most grateful! the lyrics are something like "you may not drive...a cadillac..." thanking YOU in advance.....
