Like many others, I bought the soundtrack for the two beautiful Q Rose songs and, like many others, I have been trying for years to find out who she is. I have searched the internet many times over the years looking for clues to her identity but no luck. After listening to Esthner Phillips as one reviewer suggested, I do not believe she is the voice of Q. Rose, so the mystery remains. My theory (and it is only that) has always been that it is an artist who was under contract to a different lablel and couldn't get permission to be credited on this sountrack and, therefore, had to perform under an alias. If anyone knows the identity of this voice, please let us know......

hey everyone, check out "esther phillips" and see if this is the mysterious 'q rose.' I had the song but no name. I eventually looked up the "put no headstone..." title on the itunes music store, where I discovered esther was my mystery singer. good luck.

I have been haunted by this music since the picture came out. Have only recently found and purchased the soundtrack. Very very disappointed that there was not a third Q Rose number, "Too Far Gone To Turn Around"....who IS this woman with the sultry voice? I have ransacked the internet with no discernible results...intriguing; is she as reluctant to sing as the character is in the movie? If ANYONE has any insights to track this woman down, let's share the info.

Q. Rose, with that sultry blue voice, still seems to be a mystery. Margo Timmins of the Cowboy Junkies possesses many similar vocal qualities.... Anyone have any other leads?
