5 out of 5 stars Herrmann's legendary score in all its glory........2000-09-01

This release should silence any and all individuals that complain about skimpy soundtrack releases, this edition contains every piece of music in the film.

And no one should ever forget that Bernard Herrmann was one of the all time great composers of film music, and his score for Psycho was his most famous work. Although copied and parodied countless times since it was first heard, nothing has everycome close to its blood chilling power. No film soundtrack library would be complete without it.

4 out of 5 stars A Cool score indeed........2007-01-30

Had everything i wanted on it.

to the people below me, please learn the difference between a MOVIE SCORE and a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK. Jebus.

1 out of 5 stars NO DJ SHADOW????!!!!!!!.......2005-01-08

Just saw Phone Booth for the first time on rental today - and really liked it. But what i especially liked was the DJ Shadow tune at the end. Naturally I jumped on the web, to perform one of my compulsive instant buying moments - and searched for a cheap soundtrack. Good job i checked out the listing - as it doesnt even contain this very cool song!!!

I'm not a fan of DJ Shadow - my only memories of him was waiting to watch Radiohead in '97 and he was supporting. But me and my mate simply thought it was the technicians tuning instruments in - as it did sound a little crap. But i LOVE this tune! Anyway - the only way i can get hold of this remix (Mos Def) is from an imported version of his Private Press Album or downloading it. I dont like to download music (just a personal choice) - but after seeing this import for £27 (and it's only one CD of 13 songs!) - no wonder more and more folk are downloading!

you know what they will do next - realise a "special edition" version of the soundtrack with DJ Shadow on it!

nice one

3 out of 5 stars "Operator" and "Six Days" credits.......2004-10-31

End credits on european DVD mention following informations :
> "Operator", written by William Spivery, produced by Nathan Larson;
this song has been originally performed by The Manhattan Transfer and released in 1975 by Atlantic Records.
> "Six Days (remix feat. Mos Def)", written by Josh Davis and Brian Farrell, performed by DJ Shadow [...] (contains a sample of "Six Day War" performed by Colonel Bagshot, with vocals feat. Kenneth Parry [...]);
this remix has been released on "The Private Repress", a Japan-only remix LP (visit djshadow.com for tracklisting). It's a mix of two tracks from DJ Shadow's last album : "Walkie Talkie" (for the intro) and "Six Days" (for the vocals sample).

3 out of 5 stars Six days mix.......2004-02-02

the song playing over the end credits is a mix of two DJ shadow songs; six days and another track off of private press. Does anyone know where I could find that version that mixes both songs?

3 out of 5 stars Looking for the Operator Song.......2003-12-06

As the movie begins there is this great remake of the Manhattan Tranfer tune " Operator". Can any one tell me who is singing it and where I can get a copy of the song. It apparently did not make it to the Soundtrack CD.
