As the movie is to the Wertmüller original, so this soundtrack's
music pales compared to the beauty of Piccioni's score.
Get the soundtrack of the original film, if you can find it.
This is just typical Hollywood muzak.

Michel Colombier's soundtrack to the Guy Ritchie/Madonna collaboration "Swept Away" is absolutely astonishing. Ranging from perky, Greek instruments on tracks like "The Greeks" and "The Gym" to lush and emotional reveries like "Togetherness" and the heartbreaking "Parted." Della Reese's "Come-On-A-My-House" is the only non-instrumental track, and it is simply divine. I have yet to see this film and am highly anticipating it's DVD release. Until then, buy this soundtrack. You won't be disappointed!

    Heisman Trophy winner, Eric Crouch, from Nebraska, sings "Under the 10th Street Bridge", one of the 13 original songs on the album all written by Karen Sokolof Javitch. Eric's stepfather, Cory Sanchez, sings the lead song of the album, "His Name Was Freedom". Patriotism, nostalgia and hope are spirits capture in the album. Part of the proceeds to the Victims of 9/11 fund.
