Jackass: The Movie (Bonus DVD) [Explicit Lyrics]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
Johnny Knoxville isn't exactly known for cultivating high-brow humor with his MTV prankfests, so it's a nice surprise to find that the soundtrack to his equally outrageous Jackass movie doesn't rely on simplistic stupidity. Instead, the compilation plucks less-mainstream rock and punk speedballs that encourage headbanging and slam dancing with actual finesse. The Jackass theme song, twanged by '80s underground rockers Minutemen, and howling chestnuts from late '70s Scottish punks the Rezillos and Danzig's schlock-horror Misfits are intense but never banal. Modern cuts--a slash-and-burn stoner rock dirge from CKY; taut, sassy girl rock by Sahara Hotnights; and Detroit Cobras' sleazy melding of garage rock and twist-style 1950s rock--are just as worthy. The series' sense of humor even kicks in with Sir Mix-a-Lot's rap ode to the derriere and Mr. Party Hard himself, Andrew W.K., whose guttural grunts and growls contrast cheekily with his cheery piano plunks. A few shaky stumblers aside, namely the Roger Alan Wade acoustic number, Jackass is much more intelligent than one would expect--and an excellent and eclectic soundtrack to boot. --Annie Zaleski

Good Soundtrack.......2004-04-12
This is a good soundtrack. Most of the songs rock and my personal favorite is CKY - Flesh Into Gear. Some other artists on this soundtrack include Slayer, Sahara Hotnights, The Rezillos, Smutpeddlers, Ramones and more. This soundtrack features most of the music featured in the Jackass movie. And another plus about this soundtrack is that it comes with a bonus DVD with music videos (including an all new Partyboy video), trailers, tv spots and swag. If you liked the music in the movie, then get it.
One of the best soundtracks out there........2003-09-28
This is a must have. Whether you've seen the movie or show or not. I coulden't imagine this soundtrack being any better. It has most of the music from the movie and a bonus dvd. Great album for parties and stuff. It also has some of the best bands on this compilation such as CKY, Ramones, Sahara Hotnights, Smut Peddlers, Misfits, Slayer and many more. Featuring hits like "Flesh Into Gear", "Baby Got Back", "If your gonna be dumb" and so much more. The bonus dvd includes, music videos: "Flesh Into Gear" by CKY, "She Is Beautiful" by Andrew W.K. and and Party Boy Music video. It also includes Jackass The Movie previews and trailers and Jackass swag. This is a great album with classic hits. Buy it today.
good.......2003-03-30
This was a nice little cd with a nice little collection of songs. I liked it. Alot of the songs are pretty short but that dosn't matter because they were sung by awesome bands. The bonus dvd with this isn't that good, it's just the trailers for the movie and an andrew w.k. video. It also has a party boy video. If you like metal bands like slayer or punk bands like ramones or misfits or anything by cky or if you just really want to own the delightful "baby got back" by sir-mix-alot, than this cd is for you as it was for me and many others.
what the hell is that guy talking about???.......2003-03-27
i dont know what the [other] guy is talking about but the soundtrack is the best one i have owned in a long time (5 stars). every track does NOT sound the same. the soundtrack is filled with lil punk goodies that will have you looping this CD for days (especially the rezillos) and if you ever get bored of it, you probally have listened to it more than i have!!! buy it, you want it, you NEED it! hehe trust me it rocks and you will love it.

Pretty good soundtrack overall....................2002-12-30
but i have one reason why i didn't give it 5 stars, all the songs sound the same. i got the edited version because i didn't know how many bad words were going to be in it. Turns out that the words are only in one song "let's get f-ed up". other than that the album is pretty clean. 3 1/2 stars. P.S. THE EDITED VERSION DOES NOT HAVE THE DVD! :'(
