Like the movie it's squeezed from, "Rugrats Go Wild," the soundtrack aims to satisfy a couple of fan bases. But unlike the double-dip of an audience the music's aimed at--kids and the big folks who'll tolerate only so many tracks screeched by TV preschoolers--there's a lot of overlap in the filmgoing crowd (a fat percentage of "Rugrats" fans presumably fuel "The Wild Thornberry's" ratings, and vice versa). As compromises go, then, this CD comes up huge: While the kiddies get the Rats' Angelica and Susie warbling "The Morning After" and "Dresses and Shoes"--a clever remake of the chestnut "Precious and Few"--grownups are free to get busy to the Clash, George Clinton, and a couple of fun Bruce Willis numbers, one featuring the fantastic Chrissie Hynde. Never mind what the characters are up to--here's a CD that won't cause anybody to go wild, in the best possible way. --Tammy La Gorce

Rugrats will never die! When you have two Nickelodeon cartoons that clash, it DEFINITELY gives a big opportunity for kids to become very much involved and to ignore the bad things around them and draws them in.
I didn't care for the Rugrats 1st soundtrack, but Aerosmith is great! They've been doing a lot of great appearances and songs for kids! RIGHT ON! WOOHOO!
