Editorial Reviews
Product Description
It seems an easy task to put together a CD for a series about a funeral home...pick some songs about death and make people smirk on topic for a moment before they toss it into the soundtrack graveyard. But this is not a disc to be tossed away. Six Feet Under: Everything Ends is a collection of music that feels exactly like the series: a floaty-bordering-on-surreal batch of greatness. The disc starts off with an underrated track from Nina Simone, the sultry "Feeling Good." Fans of Coldplay and Radiohead will certainly be familiar with their previously-released tunes ("A Rush of Blood to the Head" and "Lucky" respectively) but the best element of this disc is that it gives lesser-known, musically-similar artists a push. After all, finding Death Cab For Cutie's "Transatlanticism" and Sia's fragile "Breathe Me" on pop radio is, well...let's stick to the theme and use the "snowball's chance in hell" analogy. There are a host of great, previously unreleased and exclusive tracks on this CD: Jem's Dido-esque "Amazing Life," the Caesars' "Don't Fear The Reaper" cover, Interpol's discordant and dark "Direction" and Arcade Fire's wonderful "Cold Wind"--a whispered, frail, and beautiful soundscape, perfect to watch hearses off drive into sunsets by. Warner. 2005.

Album Description
McLeod's Daughters is one of Australia's most popular television dramas, currently in it's second season. Throughout the series one of the most enthralling parts has been how the original music in each episode has captured the emotion and feeling of the situations of the characters within the show. This CD brings together the beautiful vocals of Rebecca Lavelle, with the songwriting talents of Chris Harriott, Posie Graeme-Evans and Michaeley O'Brien on 12 original tracks. From the opening track 'Understand Me', to the heartfelt closing ballad 'My Heart Is Like A River', McLeod's Daughters is an inspiring body of work.

This is a great show and the music is great.
Buy this cd if you haven't already.
The other girl on the front cover is Stevie.
Fantastic.......2006-06-02
When we bought the second volume of Mcleods Daughters I wasn't so sure that it would be as good as the first one but I was definatley wrong, there is such a mixture of happy songs and sad songs which brings back so many memories from the series. I can't wait for them to release another CD.If you are a fan of Mcleods and have not bought this then do you will have hours of endless memories from the series
Fabulous!.......2006-01-31
If you love the series McLeod's Daughters you'll love the soundtrack as well! There are so many memories and reminds you of the show every time you listen to it!
mclouds daughters rocks.......2005-12-04
i grew up in the area that mclouds daughters was filmed... and its great to see that it is on TV and on CDs in stores in America where i now live... i have met most of the cast and crew when they were filming the first season... and they are great people and it is excellent to see the sucess soar above all expectations.... oh and for all you who are wondering... Nick is even more attractive in person (and you didnt think it was possible)
Songs of the Outback.......2005-10-12
As an avid fan of the show the music is the next best thing to seeing it. It is produced in Australia so we don't get to see enough episodes. That is why the the background songs are very endearing. It has a quality that is different than most and is hard to put it in a specific genre.

A lot of 70's Music.......2005-09-20
If you really like 70's themes, you should like this CD. It was a little too dated for me.
Bond and beyond on an excellent career retrospective........1998-08-25
Imitation is often considered the greatest form of flattery. John Barry's oeuvre has been sampled by dozens of contemporary musical artists, and he is often credited as being the godfather of "trip hop" (check recent albums by Portishead and Mono to hear the Barry influence). The Academy-award winning composer has been producing music for over forty years, but this collection focuses on the artist's most commercially successful period, the 1960's. The instantly recognizable and inimitable Barry style is well documented throughout 23 varied compositions. Selections range from classic to obscure, and include all the title tracks from the early James Bond soundtracks. Barry's film and television music is the defining sound of that era - lush orchestrations, cool jazzy riffs, pure excitement. "Themeology" is an excellent starting point for the novice collector and equally attractive for the long-time admirer.

Loving this show.......2006-07-24
This is my favorite new show. Right from the beginning I was loving the music in each of the episodes. So, I was thrilled to find out that a soundtrack was coming out. What a great soundtrack it is.My favorite songs right now are "Drive Through Summer" by Dala and the title track for the show.. But, I'm sure before long, I'm going to love this entire CD. The title has it so right: "The Soundtrack of Your Summer." So true, cause I know for me, it will be. If you enjoy the TV show, you'll love this CD. Thank goodness a 2nd season is being filmed now.

Customer Reviews:
Some of the most memorable music from Inuyasha.......2006-07-27
This is the second cd of Inuyasha music. I recommend this music to any and all fans of Inuyasha. Anyone who has seen more then a few episodes of the show will reckognize some,if not all of these tracks. They are,in my opinion, beautiful. One thing I like about Inuyasha music is the lack of words. A few songs on this cd do have words in japanese, but the majority of songs lack lyrics. These songs are so very beautiful and it is easy for me to be moved by some.
The true beauty of this cd is being able to match certain songs to key events in the show. I feel if you can reckognize what was happening in the show at the time a certain song played, you understand what it means more clearly. You are able to understand what emotions the songs are trying to convey more clearly. I love some of these songs because they spark different emotions in me. Some make me feel confident, others sad, and other happy.
My favorite tracks on this cd are 4,5,23,and 29. I ask any true fan of Inuyasha to listen to these songs and you'll soon realize why I like them so much. The price is way too much in my opinion, so I got this cd somewhere else. I recommend buying this from somewhere else at a much cheaper price. If you are a true fan of Inuyasha then buy this cd and I think you'll enjoy it.
The Best!.......2005-08-08
I've been looking for a CD of music from InuYasha TV series. And this was well worth it. Worth maybe 6 stars!
^_^ WOW!!!!!! ^_^.......2005-02-25
Amazing CD, one of the best Inu Yasha OST Cds yet if ya ask me.
Though, I'm not discrediting the first and second ones, those are really good too.
The music on here is very meaningfull to the series, you just find yourself reminesing on the halarious parts of the series, the sad parts, the romantic parts, and every one's favo parts, THE VIOLENT SCENES!
It's really worth it to buy this CD, You'll love it, Inu fan or not.
Okay, so, " I am (TV size)" Is VERY VERY VERY Jumpy.
too much jumpy.
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much jumpy.
yet, the recorded version is adorable, and I found my day's not compelete with out hearing the recorded version of it.
Okay, before I start ranting, I'll just put,
"IT IS WORTH IT! YOU'LL LOVE THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
AWESOME!!!.......2004-11-28
This CD is very good!!! Any InuYasha fan should get it. It is very exspensive on this website but still you will be glad if you buy this. You can get this for $10 at another website.
Awesome music.......2004-11-21
Even if you're all, "Inu-wha?" this is still some excellent music. True, it is even more fun to listen to if you've seen the anime, but the quality of this soundtrack cannot be denied. Some tracks are action-packed, some are beautiful, and some have an almost Stravinsky-esque feel to them, and all the instrumental tracks have an orchestra with *real* instruments. Oh, and the CD liner notes have lots of pretty pictures and a few tidbits if you can read Japanese.
I'm a bit bewildered as to why Amazon has it so expensive, though. You can get it for half the price, easily, through z-Shops or other import sites.

Creates Atmosphere Without Being Intrusive.......2006-08-29
These CDs are a cool mix of jazz and pop style music. All songs are instrumental and have that "Sex and the City", busy city girl feeling. The back of the CD lets you know which season and which episode each song came from so if you are looking for the background, instrumental music played in the show, this is it. This CD is great to play at work or even at home to create atmosphere while entertaining guests.

Australian Soundtrack Release for the New Independent Australian Film Starring Patrick Stewart.
Customer Reviews:
Words fail me.......2006-04-03
Christopher Gordon has created a soundtrack that enhances our listening and watching enjoyment. This soundtrack is as amazing as the film it was composed for, and I give a whole hearted endorsment.
Gripping, passionate and an epic soundtrack that is as timeless as the story behind it, it helps tell. Listening to this soundtrack, Captain Ahab will still be forever gripped in that struggle against Moby Dick, and Starbuck will forevermore grapple with his god and his loyalty to his captain. The emotions and drama that is visual for our eyes, has been captured into immortality through the visual experience for our ears imagination.
Well worth the money....
Powerful score for an epic adventure.......2000-11-01
Christopher Gordon's sweeping score to the television miniseries "Moby Dick" is a masterful example of the art of film music. Even those who haven't seen the excellent television production (which starred Patrick Stewart as the obsessed Captain Ahab) will surely find this disc to be a stirring companion to Herman Melville's classic novel, upon which the miniseries was faithfully based.
Gordon sets the tone for the overall tale with the disc's opening cut, "Call Me Ishmael," a rousing theme which captures the epic majesty of Melville's tale. Other outstanding selections include "Nantucket Docks," a lively evocation of a harbor town; "Ahab," a dignified but sinister theme for the captain of the whaling ship Pequod; and "The Devil Himself," which captures the almost supernatural power of the legendary whale.
Gordon uses a full orchestra to great effect; the Sydney Chamber Choir joins the orchestra on certain key tracks.
I have never served on a whaling vessel, but as a veteran of the United States Navy I must say that composer Gordon has skillfully evoked the sense of awe I felt as I experienced the power and beauty of the high seas. And as a student of American literature, I consider his music to be a wonderful tribute to the vision of Herman Melville. So crack open a copy of "Moby Dick," crank the CD player up to high volume, and let your mind's eye conjure up the awesome vision of the great white whale.
