The Disney Channel hits paydirt again with this new musical featuring the popular Cheetah Girls. Led by Raven-Symoné as Galleria (she gets three solo tracks), the aspiring pop stars hit Barcelona this time, and use the opportunity to sing a lot of catchy songs. The younger fans of High School Musical will dig this, especially since the movie's helmed by the same director, Kenny Ortega, and most of the songs are written by the same team. The kids perform most of the tracks together, Spice Girls­-style: "Why Wait" is a zippy tune that's a little like Kelly Clarkson Lite, while "Step Up" incorporates R&B backings into an anthem-like chorus and several songs integrate Latin spices and additional vocals from guest Belinda Peregrin, a fab Mexican singer. This is some good stuff for pre-teen girls. My daughter enjoys their lively sound, fun fashion, and be-true-to-yourself lyrics. Parents, this is a good choice if you like to steer away from heavy boy-boy-boy lyrics.

The Cheetah Girls is a Disney franchise. With selling over 2 million copies of the first soundtrack, The Cheetah Girls OST, they are back with the new sequel. The soundtrack is amazing. The Cheetah Girls 2 is a better soundtrack than High School Musical, but it is still a good soundtrack. You definitely need to buy it, RECOMMENDED FOR KIDS, AND EVEN ADULTS!!!!

I like this soundtrack, "The Cheetah Girls 2" because this time all the tracks on it are all either The Cheetah Girls singing the song, someone from the group which is Raven-Symone singing the song, or/and someone from the movies or a song from the movies is on it and not someone totlly different and didn't have anything to do with the movie. Also on the sountrack there are more songs. On the first "The Cheetah Girls" sundtrack there was only a little bit of songs on it and also there were people singing songs on it where they never showed the people singing it in the movie, only the song came on in the backround. Although I like both movies and soundtracks the same there is just some things that just stood out to me. Otherwise I still think anyone should be them both.

Listen to a bit of the songs (Amazon provides the previews). In the songs with morals in them, you can tell that they don't really mean what they're saying. In Do Your Own Thing, they sing in these flat voices that are just SCREAMING "None of these words are worth your life." In Amigas Cheetahs, they finally notice that and try to make their songs very emotional (and I'm pretty sure the songs were meant to be sung with heart), but they exaggerate it so much that it sounds like they are having a seizure.

A better band for kids would be The Naked Brothers Band (there's one girl in it, but it started out as all-boys). The 11-year-old keyboardist actually writes the songs himself, and they're all very meaningful and catchy.

The Cheetahs have been rocking it hard around the world recently and this was there first big break. I think it is really worth the money even though not all the songs on the CD are by the Cheetah Girls the ones that are really show the Cheetahs strutting thier stuff

Cheetah Sisters: When you first hear this it starts off slow and you may think it will be boring well think again because after the first verse it all starts to get faster and you will never know what hit you 5/5

Cinderella: This song displays a good message it is about working hard and saving yourself and kind of thinking for yourself and there is some good music too. 4/5

Girl Power: This is my favorite song on the CD it is all about being yourself and that girls are good no matter what anyone says. 5/5

Together We Can: This is a bit short but don't let that fool you it is a good message about the sort of things friends can do together if they try. 4/5

there are a few more songs on this CD but these are the ones by the Cheetahs and I would really recomend this product to anyone that loves to dance and sing thier heart out.

My 10 Year old niece loves this CD. She doesn't get to listen to it as much as she would like as her MP3 player broke and the next holiday is a ways away. Good choice for this age group.

My 8 year old daughter was very dissappointed after receiving this CD for Christmas. It is advertised as the Cheetah Girls 2 - however these vocals are not sung by the original Cheetah Girls who are in the movie. The songs just don't sound the same. It's very dissappointing that Disney doesn't tell you this on the CD.

This CD is recorded live at a Cheetah Girls concert--so it makes a nice collector's item for those who attended this last year. There's only one new song ("Falling for You"). They sing all the hits from the two movies.

The sound quality isn't fantastic with some very hallow-sounding microphones. Plus the fact that Raven-Symone isn't singing with the group means that the sound in the live concert is a bit different from the movie soundtracks. But this album is successful at what it's meant to be--a recording of a live concert where people can relive the experience.

Though it's intended for younger listeners I caught some of the "Cheetah Girls 2" movie and I liked what I heard. Sure it's heavily synthasized and slickly marketed (because most music today isn't) but the beats are pretty good and infectious. I would rank "Strut" as my #1 favorite track and the main reason I bought this album along with "Party's Just Begun" in a close second. I won't be doing the karaoke versions anytime soon but it's nice to crank up this CD in my car. And a relief for parents who want to get cool tunes for their youngings without having to worry about vulgar language or sexually explicit subjects. Well done safe pop. Thanks, Cheetah Girls!

The Cheetah's new 2-Disc Special Edition has so much amazing, and great features on it. If your a parent you should by it for your child, this is a great G rated CD by Disney which contains great, amazing music. I love 'em!

The reason why I'm rating this album 5 stars is because I'm not comparing it to tradition Christmas records like Perry Como or Mariah Carey. This album is a perfect blend of pop bounce and Christmas sweetness. Don't expect the best vocalists in the world on this album, but more R&B singing style on most of these songs, but it's very consistent. I'm listening to it right now and I'm on track 11 of 13 I believe. There's several songs that are new to me like "Five More Days 'Til Christmas," and "No Ordinary Christmas," but that just makes the songs more interesting because they're Christmas songs that have new lyrics to me. The Cheetah Girls tackle "All I Want for Chrismtas" but with a slower pace and easy breezy vocals that don't try to be what they're not. They know their limitations and strengths, which is evident on their cover of George Michael's "Last Christmas," where their style sounds perfect on the track.

These ARE NOT the original Cheetah Girls! Unfortunately, you won't realize this until AFTER you have purchased the cd. This bit of information is inside the cd case. I don't believe that my daughter is aware of this ruse because the girls on the cd sound pretty close to Raven and the others. BUT...if you want to hear the original singers, do not buy this cd.

I am a musical theater performer and who has a niece who is really into what I do. I realized this when she would try to join me on my vocal warm ups I do regularly with these great singing lesson CDs called "Voice Lessons To Go" by Vaccarino. So, for her 10th birthday I bought her a Karaoke machine with some CDs including Disneys- Princess, Lion King and Cheetah girls. She loves them!!! She is so proud to sing for everyone now when they come over and tells everyone that she is going to be a singer just like her cool aunt!

Album Description

Meet the Cheetah Girls: four New York teens facing the challenges of growing up as they dance and sing their way toward that elusive record deal. Raven (That's So Raven, credited as Raven-Symone on The Cosby Show) stars alongside Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams (of the platinum-selling R&B/pop group 3LW) and Sabrina Bryan (The Bold and the Beautiful). Well, truthfully, my daughter liked the tracks. HOWEVER, the tracks are basically the same as for the Cheetah Girls karaoke disc that I also bought, and I was unable to determine that at the time of purchase. This disc does contain two more tracks, but these are remixes of two of the other tracks--not worth much. Also, the sleeve says something about a computer program on the disk. On my Macintosh, all the program did was direct the user to the Disney website--a valueless item in my view. There was no indication the program would do anything different on a PC.

Yes, as the first reviewer notes this is the Wal-Mart bonus(?) disc that apparently came with the Dignity cd. Having gotten my copy of Dignity elseware I didn't feel compelled to set foot in Wal-Mart so for me it was passable to pick it up here. That said I can say it's ok and if you have no other recent remixes it's a good 5-in-one-place kind of thing. Remixes usually always mean dance mixes, so remember that they are longer and more dance oriented than the already dancable originals. I really like Hilary's music and I love dance music but (with all due respect to those who remixed the tracks on this cd) I think Hilary's remixing world really cries out for the touch of Above and Beyond or Gabriel and Dresden. Such a pairing would really do justice and come up with something as amazing as the stars in the sky.

I have this Cd. I Got it at wal-mart for 13.98 but it came with two cd's the Dignity cd, and the remix cd so this is just a rip off. Who would do such a thing
