Album Description
Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon star in this comedy with something for everyone! It's a romantic comedy with a baseball theme! Adapted from the Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About A Boy) novel, the story follows the trials and tribulations of Lindsey (Barrymore) a successful woman in love with Ben (Fallon). Everything starts off great when their relationship starts in the off-season, but when baseball starts up again in the Spring, their relationship becomes a love triangle with the Boston Red Sox as the third party!
In production during the season when the Red Sox broke their decades-long "curse," Fever Pitch's finale was famously filmed on the winning field as the Sox finally closed the deal and won the pennant!

Tessie.......2007-03-20
I bought this album because i liked the movie so much..And I became a Red Sox fan...My favourite song is Tessie..
No Bosstones? No Aerosmth? What????.......2006-04-23
Boston is one of the greatest musics scenes known to man....Aerosmith may be the most famous band missing, but the ommission of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones is a travesty. At least they included "Tessie", the song made popular in 1918, and by doing so, they included the Dropkick Murphy's, another great Boston Band. But no Bosstones, Aerosmith, Guster, Aimee Mann, Pixies, Buffalo Tom, Slide (who released a CD in 95 or 96 entitled "Forgiving Buckner"), Julian Hatfield, The Lemonheads, Chubby, or other great Boston Bands. Could have been an ode to Boston, instead, it was a joke.
Well Balanced Soundtrack.......2005-10-15
I like the fact that they chose some lesser know bands to go along with the veteran bands. In particular, the track Window Pane, by Mad Larry was a huge standout. What a great tune. Hopefully the trend will continue and give indie bands the boost in name recognition they're working hard for.
No Aerosmith!.......2005-10-13
How can you have a movie about Boston without the city's most famous band on the soundtrack(or in the movie for that matter)? Seriously though, this soundtrack is a bore.
Run Drew.......2005-09-30
If anyone is looking for the song that plays while Drew Barrymore is running across the baseball field to Jimmy Fallon...its actually on the soundtrack...but it hides itself very carefully in fact.
Its called "Who Killed Tangerine" by Tears for Fears. Just wait for it...wait for it...until the end...then you'll remember it.
Hope this helps those of you that just want to find that song you're looking for and be done with it...not have to search through a thousand other songs before you finally find the one you were looking for in
the first place.
and remember...its not over...it never was over.

LOVE IT!!!!!.......2007-01-13
This is a great soundtrack!!! The seller was quick to respond and the product was delivered secure and in a timely manner. Thank you sooo much! It is a favorate of mine.
What's not to like if you're an Arsenal fan!.......2005-08-02
Why 5 stars? Well, one star just because I'm an Arsenal fan; two stars because I watched the DVD and although it was very loosely based on the book, at least the author himself, Nick Hornby no less, writes the Introduction in the cd sleeve telling us how much involved he was in selecting the tracks himself!.
3 stars because of the great packaging: great photos from the film in the cd booklet and the cd itself is made to look like a soccer ball while the backing is a picture of a field; looks very cool believe me!
4 stars because of the quality of the sound recording which is very good and much more than I've come to expect from soundtracks and finally 5 stars because of the quality of the song selections.
How can you go wrong when you have Van Morrison, the Who, the Pretenders, Lisa Stansfield and most importantly, the La's "There She Goes!" all on one disc! Thanks for making it unnecessary for me to buy albums full of fillers just to get this song plus "Been Around the World."
If you liked the movie, (not so much the book as explained why earlier)this is a good cd to get. If you are an Arsenal fan like me, what are you waiting for? Get the cd! : )
great 80's music.......2005-07-06
talk about music to fit the movie! this one has just what it takes. it is a sensational compilation of hits that make you want to relive the decade, and just beautifully underscores the movie.
A Great Soundtrack to an Great Movie.......2002-07-21
Having watched the movie nearly a dozen times, I decided to track down the soundtrack. I wasn't disappointed at all. All of the songs in the movie (as far as I can tell) are on the disc. It's funny to hear some of the blurbs from Colin Firth, and I think that they are a cool addition to the soundtrack. If you love this movie, you need to own this soundtrack.
I loved this film and I love this soundtrack..........2002-07-11
Can you say play it loud? Brings back songs I had forgotten I listened to in the 80s. A real treat.
