Piero Piccioni has never received the same stardom as Morricone but can be ranked on the same level within the Italian soundtrack world. This CD shows his skills on several levels and styles and is a excellent introduction to his music.

Some of the music may sound familiar to those who already own various artist compilations like Beat at Cinecitta or the Easy Tempo series.

I hope El Music continues to explore the Italian music scene with more artist compilations like this one (and their Edda Dell'Orso and Morricone discs), especially for Piero Umiliani, Armando Trovaioli, Stelvio Cipriani and Bruno Nicolai, to name a few.

They should get rid of the awful font though, it's horrible and unreadable.
