LOVE THE SHOW LOVE THE MUSIC.......2004-04-11
The film "Vampire Hunter D" is an amazing film by any right and the music that is in the film is something of great beauty! I find that this cd contains very haunting and beautiful music and any fan of the film will enjoy what is offered here. This is the re release version I believe, Im kind of confused with the two releases but the show was made in 1985 so it's not a NEW soundtrack but sounds incredible!
Good music.......2004-04-10
Like the reviewer before me said, this music may not be as entertaining to some if they haven't seen the movie. I've heard people say that to me. Still, I have to say it was quite an impressive soundtrack for the movie and fit it well. There are also some tracks I were particularly impressed with, including "Grove" and "Into the Woods."
Included on the track is a Japanese song that I think was originally in the Japanese theatrical release and played at the end of the movie...whereas in the American release we had the conglomeration of the soundtrack's different highlights. It's got a very pop feel to it, and might feel out of place to some. I actually don't listen to it too often, but on occasion. Otherwise, I'll just switch over to "Grove."
If you liked the movie and thought the soundtrack was good, then by all means get this CD. It only makes sense, right?
Mmmmm. . ..music.......2003-12-26
Ok, so if you didn't see the movie, this soundtrack probably dosen't mean much to you. (Oh and by the way, this is the Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust soundtrack.) But if you saw and enjoyed the movie this is a definate need. The music flows well, none of the songs feel out of place. The mood is ominous. I like to listen to this when I am driving at night. It just sort of fits.
I consider it a very good soundtrack with heart. And I mean soundtrack in that it holds its own against other intrumental soundtracks, not just in the anime genere.
