Wild Wild West: Music Inspired By The Motion Picture [Soundtrack]
Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
Though the soundtrack of music from (and, mostly, inspired by) Wild Wild West features just one track by the movie's star, Will Smith, the spirit of the Fresh Prince is all over this disc. Tracks by BLACKstreet, MC Lyte, Tatyana Ali, and even Slick Rick give hip-hop and R&B elements an infectious pop sheen. Of course, except the Morricone-esque intro to Dr. Dre & Eminem's "Bad Guys Always Die" (one of the disc's better tunes), there's really nothing western about this album at all. Still, it's a far more catchy album than Smith's prior soundtrack, 1997's Men in Black . --Jason Verlinde

Hey Wild.......2003-07-02
This c.d. is alright. I just love Eminem but I thought this song was one of his corniest songs he has ever done. I thought the theme song was really good but the rest of the c.d. kinda stinks. If anything I would just get the single.
Hmm . . ........2001-06-04
I got pretty tired of this CD quickly, which isn't that unusual for me, but I am still very disapointed. The songs Wild Wild West and Bailamos are very good, and I can still listen to them, but most of this disc is forgettable R&B and rap songs with a pop side to them. Lil' Bow Wow had his debut song on this album, which is the horrible Stick Up with Jermaine Dupri. Artists like Faith Evans, Tatyana Ali and Blackstreet make up the majority of this disc. While their songs individually may sound good, all grouped together they sound boring and repetitive. The track by Common has nowhere near the depth and thoughtfullness his later work featured, even though it does give the talented Jill Scott a time to shine. Dr.Dre and Eminem's duet is interesting, and is completely profanity free (Oh my God) but the chorus gets on your nerves so quick. If you really like R&B pop, then this would be a good buy. But if you want some catchy music, or rap with depth, do not buy this. You will be really disapointed.
GOOD INSPIRATIONAL SOUNDTRACK FOR THE FILM.......2001-05-24
This soundtrack album is a well-balanced representation of songs inspired and heard in the film. The music is tantalizing. It is a well-executed and very refreshing CD. Smith's WILD WILD WEST is a very well thought out composition and is brilliantly delivered. It still sounds fresh.
Bad Guys Always Die- THE BEST!.......2001-05-10
This is a great cd!Will Smiths theme song is great, bailamos is good, But Dre and Eminems Bad Guys Always Die is the greatest!!!!
BUY THIS CD!!!!!!
Wild, Wild.......2000-09-10
Ha, ha, here we go again! Wild Wild West is a pretty good movie, so I decided to get this. I was at first, plainly dispointed. I had expected better. (I always do!) But I've got used to it now, and it really isn't so bad. "Wild Wild West", is a great song, probably Will Smith's best. "Bailamos" adds a different flavor to the whole thing, but after that it kinda fails.
"Confused" is a song I've learned to except, and just listen to it anyway; it's not that great, but not that bad. "Keep it Moving" is one of the better songs that I enjoy. "Getting Closer" has a great tune, but it's gets tiring after a while. "Bad Guys Always Die" is probably my second favorite on the CD, I just love Eminem and Dr. Dre. "Mailman" is overall depressing. The other two "exceptable" tunes are "8 minutes to Sunrise" and "Stick Up", even though it seems cut of. The whole thing IS wild.
