Customer Reviews:
Eh.......2007-05-25
While the film may have built up a loyal following despite its obvious inability to live up to the original Grease, the soundtrack is sorely lacking. Unlike Grease, which cast multi-talented actors and actresses who could both act AND sing, the stars of Grease 2 didn't have much in the way of vocal talent. Michelle Pfeiffer, especially, made me cringe, as she had TWO solo songs. While she's one of my all-time favorite actresses and depicted the role beautifully and convincingly, I just can't say the same for her voice. It's not *horrible,* but I wouldn't go releasing a CD, either.
I also don't like the CD version of "Do It for Our Country." In the movie, it's a hilarious duet between Louis and his girlfriend Sharon. On the CD, it's simply Peter Frechette singing alone. Supposedly, this is because the actress playing Sharon was unable to make the recording date; but if that were so, they should've nixed the number altogether. It's more than obvious in the CD version that the song is supposed to be a duet, as there as inexplicable gaps, and it doesn't even really make sense, not in the way it was orginally intended.
Overall, it's not a *horrible* soundtrack. If you like the Grease movies, and want your spirits raised with a bit of good-humored fun music, you may want to pick up a copy. But I doubt it'll hold a prominent place in your CD collection.
THIS ALBUM IS A COOL RIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-01-24
This sountrack i think is so great Adrian Zmed is great in prowlin and Michelle Pfeiffer is fantastic in cool rider it is a must get album
Grease 2, Under par.......2004-08-07
O.K. music, O.K. performances, dosen't even hold a candle to it's predecsssor. Michelle Pfiefer is very good, Adrian Zmed has talent, but fizzles. Good songs, but they only have a place in an aerobics class, high school musical, or in the privacy of your own home where you can't get sued for noise pollution
