Disney's Jungle Boogie: 14 Favorite Songs From Jungle Book, The Lion King, Jungle Cubs, Timon & Pumbaa (Soundtrack Anthology) [Soundtrack]

Disney has long used first-rate songwriters, and their jungle-themed films--The Jungle Book and The Lion King--have inspired some of the entertainment giant's greatest songs. There's the classic "Bare Necessities" and "I Wan'na Be Like You (The Monkey Song)" from The Jungle Book, plus the relentlessly catchy "Hakuna Matata" and the touching--if a little overwrought--"Circle of Life" from The Lion King. Though the B team takes over on half a dozen tracks (from spinoffs Jungle Cubs and Timon and Pumbaa), they largely hold their own--"Take Your Sweet, Sweet Time" and "Alone Together" won't displace any of the classics here, but they don't feel out of place. --Randy Silver

Cool!.......2004-02-13
This is one of the best CDs I've ever heard. Especially the two Lion King's Timon & Pumba Songs. Those two songs, if you wanna know, are airing on Toon Disney. And I think these songs are really entertaining. And I mean it too.
Got to love it!!!.......2002-08-03
If you love Disney movies with a jungle flair, this is a great CD to own. It has songs you and the kids can't help but sing and dance too. If you love The Lion King and The Jungle Book, you have to have this.
Toe Tappin' Good Fun!.......2000-02-18
Not only do the kids know all the words to these songs, but so will you, and will be singing them in the shower!
My girls absolutely love this soundtrack.......1999-09-23
I have probably listened to this soundtrack 1000 times in my car with my two girls. They know all the songs by heart and love singing along!! They especially like yummy yummy yummy I got bugs in my tummy. They never tire of hearing it!! Every time we get in the car, my youngest wants to listen to the jungle music!! My girls are 2 & 4
I LOVE Timon and Pumbaa!.......1999-07-14
My favorite songs in Jungle Boogie are Yummy Yummy Yummy,Take Your Sweet, Sweet, Time and Stand By Me. Timon and Pumbaa are the PERFECT singing team! Take Your Sweet, Sweet Time is a terrific song that the Jungle Cubs(the Jungle Book characters when they were kids)perform. They tell you that it's great to be a kid, so "let's do our growing up naturally." Yummy, Yummy, Yummy is based on a song from the early 60's. It's perfromed by Timon and Pumbaa telling about their fave food: Bugs! Stand By Me is also based on a 60's song. It's also performed by Timon and Pumbaa(but mainly Timon). Timon is singing to tell Pumbaa that whenever he needs help, just "stand by me"! Well, I guess I've been talking long enough. I know that if you buy this CD you will LOVE it! Bye-bye!
