First it was Athens, Ga. in the 80's. Then there was Seattle in the 90's. What location will shape the future of the mainstream music charts in the new millennium? Two words: South Louisiana. Surprised? You should not be. Just look at the recent international success of Louisiana artists like Master P, Britney Spears, Juvenile, and Better Than Ezra. This swampy region of the U.S. that was only previously known for it's Cajun cuisine is now serving up another 'spicy' dish: Platinum records.

Who's next in this virtual Mardi Gras parade of success stories? Many people are putting their money on the artist simply known as B. This young dynamic performer is poised and ready to take on the world. He is armed with an explosive stage show, unstoppable energy, and a debut CD loaded with radio ready singles.

B's debut CD, entitled "Naturalook" (in stores nation wide) is loaded with over a dozen tracks that combine dance/pop anthems, polished slow jams, and slamming Euro-house re-mixes. Before you start to write B off as another young, good-looking singer hand picked to squeal over assembly line grooves by a team of big producers, you should know this: B not only wrote and performed every note and drum beat on this CD, he also single-handedly produced and engineered it in his own studio.

For the past 9 years, B has captivated audiences around the South with his energetic live concerts, complete with lighted logos, a multi-level stage, and state-of-the-art lighting effects. Backed by a band of blazing players, B has earned a huge devoted army of fans that travel from town to town to catch his live shows. In fact, when B released a single locally last year, it was this legion of fans that bombarded radio stations with requests that put the song on the stations' nightly countdowns for weeks. The tune has become a mainstay in clubs and on commercial radio stations that are not known for showcasing local artists.

Word began to spread about B, and it was not long before he was sharing the stage with some of the biggest national dance/pop artists when their tours brought them through his area. All of this attention led to demo work with acclaimed songwriters Mark Gray and Ben Margules (who opened several songs for Mariah Carey's debut album, including the chart-topping "Vision of Love").

Now, signed to Ricochet Records, and with national distribution, B is ready to take his unique sound to the masses. His first single is "Naturalook", the funkified title track to his outstanding debut release. B plans to bring his bombastic live show to audiences all over the country later this year with an extensive tour in support of the album.
