This compilation really surprised me. I knew it would be good, but I did not know how eclectic it would be. Genres from goth-industrial to noise to dub and more are represented. I would say that 3-4 tracks really stand out above the rest and I find myself flipping around my cd until I hit these tracks. Remixing "Storm The Studio", one of the greatest industrial albums ever, is a tall order-- I have to admire the courage of these artists as a group, and the great proficiency of several of them.

One of the best remix albums I have yet to find!
I'm a die hard MBM fan but when I heard this album came out I quickly shrugged it off and didn't bother with it. Some month or so later I heard the majority of it and loved it.
Most of the tracks are highly danceable (first 5)
Youd be suprised to hear what antipop consortium did with their remix. Scanner's track, the last one is utterly insane, and Frank Bretshneider created something excrutiatingly catchy.
Your gonna like the diversity in this album whether your an MBM fan or not. track 1 is very hard hittin mbm esque quite like the early days.

First of all, it is always a tremendous experience when a MBM album comes out. To finally find a remix dedicated to one of my all time favorite albums...I was lucky and picked this one up about a month before it came out. As with all Meat Beat albums, I listened over and over and the main feeling I was getting is still that the original Storm the Studio smacks the hell out of most of this new generation of tracks...

Not saying this was a bad album; the MBM/DHS track is excellent, the Opus, Eight Frozen Modules, Merzbow, and Norscq tracks were excellent, the Dj Spooky track was alright... I understand that these are new interpretations, but it seemed like some of the other tracks didn't seem to gel or flow with the Storm the Studio idea.

I just want to say that the original Storm the Studio and Meat Beat in general have never ceased to innovate as well as inspire, and STS R.M.X.S. as an attempt simply reinforces the eccentricity and uniqueness of the original.

The king of atmospheric drum n bass... does it again. wicked sounds coming from the uk and sounding better than ever. ltj bukem has compiled 10 amazing tracks spanning the latest releases from artists on the good looking label only previously available on vinyl and 12" release. the world can applaud the sounds of one of the most original and progressive labels on the drum n bass scene. ltj bukem- has stuck his ground and avoided the push to acquire the monotonous dark and beat-ridden sounds of other drum n bass producers... instead has further crafted a sound entirely intelligent and most definitely good looking.

cheers to you all for the originality and unfailing delivery of the intelligent drum n bass sound. a must buy.

This is a good cd. I waited 3 months to get my hands on one. I first heard the tracks on the glo website. Believe me, anyone that purchases this cd will not be disappointed. Ltj Bukem did it again!
