I first heard this in Tower records in London and anyone who has been in this shop knows how trendy and cool most of the assistants there think they are..But the guys in the basement of the store who had this palying, on the rotation deserve the "cool" moniker.

The other reviewers have described this album very well. If you like "funk" you will enjoy the record!

these guys are amazing! they also perform under the more well known name The Poets Of Rhythm. While that stuff is raw funk, this is more of he late 70's type funk..little jazz..little disco..all instrumental jams. very spaced out keyboard work on here too! The bass player is the one with the engineering know-how and on this album he suceeds again in making it sound authentic..but very original. they're German and as far as i know they don't/haven't played over here yet. They should! It's what people need to hear over here, dancable, funky, GOOD music..nothin wrong with havin a good time with music. we seem to have forgotten that for the most part. Luckily, bands like this are keeping it alive somewhere. Bottom line, if you like late 70s/early 80's funk, get it and decide for yourself. you won't be disappointed!

this is one of the best releases I picked up this year.. very soulful and funky (some of the instruments are almost parliament sounding) yet with modern songwriting and beats.

would rather listen to this album than jazzanova, ufo, peace orchestra... great late-night loungey party stuff from start to finish. compared to most releases these days this rates way higher than 5 stars, just check out the first track - I first heard it on nightmaresonwax's dj kicks..
