The cantata "Listen, Lord" for solo contralto, chorus, and jazz combo sets the text of the opening prayer from "God's Trombones", James Weldon Johnson's imaginative recreation of sermons remembered from his youth.

      I will never forget the banal, cheesy hit "Please Don't Go" for the indelible image of a fellow waiter at the restaurant I worked at in college showing off his dance moves to this song, churning his arms in the air, while grinding his pelvis in front of an ice cream freezer. Oh, the thrills of the early 1990's.

      This is some of the best R&B/Dance-Pop you will ever hear! Nayobe is an extremely talented vocalist that is yet to garner the respect & recognition she deserves. I love all of the songs. Get this album if you don't already have it because you won't regret it!!!

      Nayobe is one of the most talented latin vocalist. While listening to this album, it becomes clear that she has no desire to be only a dance diva. The sounds range from the danceable latin dance-pop A.K.A Freestyle of "Please Don't Go", "Second Chance for Love" & "Good Things Come to Those Who Wait" to the northern soul of "Guess I Fell in Love" to dance-pop like "Roses". Her vocal range is wide and sounds great. The spanish version and dub dance version of the title track are great. All of the tracks on the album are great. This is a worthwhile album for all fans of R&B/Soul, Dance and Latin-Pop.

MY FAVOURITES ARE "SECOND CHANCE FOR LOVE", "PLEASE DON'T GO", "GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT" AND MORE. SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE THAT WOULD PUT HER MAINSTREAM COUNTERPARTS SUCH AS J. LO TO SHAME. THIS IS A MUST IF YOU LOVE DANCE-POP WITH POWERFUL VOCALS AND MEANINGFUL LYRICS. OVERALL, I GIVE THIS ALBUM A RATING OF A+.

        ...this French Muddy Waters-compilation. It mixes hits with rarities, managing to create a collection of songs which will satisfy neither the newcomer nor the collector, and it clocks in at less than half an hour.
        But there is no complaining about the music itself, and if you only have Muddy's biggest hits ("Mannish Boy", "Hoochie Coochie Man", "Got My Mojo Working"), this one could serve as a nice addition.

        "Baby Please Don't Go" is all over the place, from early numbers like "Rollin' And Tumblin'" to the mid-60s classic "Can't Lose What You Ain't Never Had", and while the choice of songs may seem arbitrary, the quality of the material is very high.
        "I Can't Be Satisfied" is here, one side of Muddy's very first hit single from 1947, just him and his slide guitar and bassist Ernest "Big" Crawford (the other side was "I Feel Like Going Home"). Big Joe Williams' "Baby Please Don't Go" is here in a great rendition with a superb vocal performance and some excellent harmonica playing.
        And there are plenty of other highlights...a slow, soulful rendition of pianist Eddie Boyd's "Mean Mistreater", the supremely groovy 1956 hit "Forty Days And Forty Nights", "I'm Ready", another single hit, and of course 1958's swinging proto-rock n' roll, "Walkin' Thru The Park".

        And there are two genuine rarities here as well, one being a surprising, spiritual-like "Goin' Home" featuring a group of female backup-singers (!). The other is a slow, soulful and supremely confident performance of "I've Got A Rich Man's Woman" (wonder why so few compilers have spotted than one).

        This album is neither here nor there, really...most of the hits are missing, and there are only two really rare items. But it sure is good music, not a weak track in sight.

        This is a great CD. Nobody can sing the blues like Muddy Waters. Each song is a joy to listen and it's a CD that is great to listen to at work as well as at home!

          Andre Rieu's Romantic Paradise with selections including "The Godfather," "Strangers in Paradise,"The Rose," etc. is absolutely lovely. His violin brings out the best in these familiar songs. There is a second CD with the same title, with "Dances with Wolves" as the first selection, that will blow you away. I got mine in Europe. Hope it becomes available in the USA.
