Somewhat self-serving, but good to find some 12" versions on CD.......2006-04-05

Micmac has made many freestyle compilations over the years-but all suffered from having radio edits, or mixed CDs instead of freestanding tracks. However, they also offered a variety of artists from different labels, making much more of a freestyle "hits" package. You have to be really diehard to want all the tracks on this strictly micmac collection-both this and volume 2 contain a limited number of the same artists from the label-and some of the bigger artists like Judy Torres aren't represented by their biggest hits, which were recorded on other labels. However, some of the bigger hits are here in their FULL LENGTH 12" format at last on CD!!! Track times:

Breada's voice and songs are so great, it's amazing. This CD gives you some of the best of her English language music. She should tearing up charts with music this good! Highly recommended!

Why would anyone give this review less than 5 stars? most of these songs, if not all, are freestyle classics. they are near impossible to find on vinyl, let alone on cd. so grab this compilation while you can. With your first listen, the memories created during this era will come flooding back. they were good times, for sure. its worth every penny you spend.
