I love this mix! It is (perhaps) my favorite mix cd ever produced. Right from the start (french riveria cafe sounds) it makes my body groove. Recently some jerk stole my copy of this disc, due to the fact it is out of print finding another was so hard. I almost paid $50EU for a copy that gives you an idea of my devotion to this disc. Luckily I was able to find one on ebay for a song... Jef K I love you :)

Awsome CD, I didn't think much of it when I first received it because I didn't play it loud. You have to listen to this CD loud, as with all soul rocking house music. It definitely will make you want to move! Especially track 7, it takes me out of this world as the crisp sounds of musical waves flow all over me. A must have for you HOUSE Connoisseurs! Great CD, I will be testing the other vloumes of French Sessions!

Excellent! Very easy to listen too. The more you play it the better it gets. You can almost distinguish the track list as two halves. Tracks 1-6 are quite deep and powerful, tracks 7-13 are groove/funk personified. If you are sitting listening to this cd, get up and boogie as the vibe may macrame you into the couch and you may never get up again...

Jazz house delights on track 3, CASSIOS THEME, the sexually charged slow jazz hous number. Listen for the horns and the moans and that whisper, "Cassio". Kevin Yost works his jazzy house magic on track 8, EL CAMINO PT1, by Shazz. Blaze also deliver their rendition of the perfect jazz house fusion on track 12, DIRECTIONS. This instrumental number soothes the soul. Listen for the chant "Directions"

This is fantasic CD, it works so well with a glass of wine on my patio on a fine summer evening, with friends.

This is not the best of the series, but it is a solid effort. Similar to Vol. 3(w/Vol. 4 are the best) in that it is consistent, but the music is not as good. This is contrasted with Vol. 4 which has some awesome individual tracks, but not consistently good across the entire album.

French Sessions 6, mixed by DJ Rork, is ( in my opinion ) the best in the French Sessions collection. I love music from Naked Music ( Miguel Migs, Blue 6, Lisa Shaw, Aquanote etc. ) This mix sounds like it was created by Naked. Very sensual, a lot of vocals, smooth mixing and some interesting choice of tracks. Track 1, "Believe", very sensual and deep. Track 5 "Fall Down", a funky and soulful track, nice. Track 6 "Felicidad" exotic track. And last but not least, track 11 "Amour"...what a track it is... cannot say more...am listening to it now...just listen to it and decide for yourself..

The best of French Sessions (even all of the house music) I have heard so far. I have nothing to complain, you may read how critical I am regarding the mixing structure in Dimitri from Paris "Disco Forever," he received 3 stars, actually on mixing I would give on 1 star.

This one is absolutely over-the-rank selection and mixing. Here, I have the Aline-Can-Dance-feeling again, actually Mister Rork has been selected in Aline compilations.

Look forward to the next coming cd, and please keep this style. Don't change like other Djs. ...

The best of French Sessions. I have nothing to complain(actually some tracks sound a bit copy, but anyway good copy), you may read how critical I am regarding the mixing structure in Dimitri from Paris "Disco Forever," he received 3 stars, actually on mixing I would give on 1 star.

This one is fine selection and mixing as a studio-mix, (live-mixing then go for Stacey Pullen).

Here(with French Sessions vol 6), I have the Aline-Can-Dance-feeling again, actually mister Rork has been selected in Aline compilations.

Look forward to the next coming cd, and please keep this style.

Watch out, French Sessions vol 2, Dj Bertrand does not know a damn, listen to the first song, I thought the singer must be from Dissimilis. French Sessions vol 2 will disform everyone about the history of house music...Distance's biggest mistake. The french knows too little, maybe?

      This is ths cd that made me love house music. The first time I heard it, I sat in silence for a couple of minutes afterwards. I had lost it in a move 3 years ago, but I found another copy(thank you Amazon!). "Rain" and "Rise Above the Storm" should be required listening for all who love house. Truly a great cd.

      With Vol. 3, the best of the series. This volume has some awesome individual tracks like Rain and Rise Above The Storm. However, I wish the album flowed better as a whole. Overall, a highly recommended purchase.

      I'm happy to say my first experience in the French Sessions series was an excellent one. I've heard for some time now that the series was quality but I must say, if the rest of the series is this good you'll be seeing more reviews. This set mixed by DJ Deep is just that... Deep! Many people make the claim of delivering deep house music but DJ Deep is telling the truth.

      This is deep house at it's best. You get plenty of music for you money with this set, clocking in at over 72 minutes. Everything I like in house music is here, deep bass, thumpin' beats, excellent mixing and an awesome music selection. The feel and tone of the set is laid back garage and house. You could listen to this set relaxing around the house or you could just as easily jam to this at the club. Either way this set gets the job done. The majority of the selections are vocal and they fit well with the few instrumental cuts. The set starts out strong and doesn't let up until it's finished. If one tried to be picky one might say the last track could have been put at the beginning of the set. Even though the last track relaxes the tempo for a quick minute, you don't lose the groove and the placement of the track doesn't take away from the quality of the set. My cuts of choice are "Rain", "Do You Want Me", "Seasons Of Love", "Rise Above The Storm", "Love Your Brother", "Come Into My Room", and "Feel The Music."

      In summary this CD has no weaknesses. I would recommend this set to anyone that likes dance music. HousERaTs like myself should put this on their wishlist.

      DJ Deep has compiled a delectable blend of house, disco, jazz and symphonica to produce a dance cd unlike any other. The CD opens with Rain, a stunning track by Kerri Chandler. Chandler is shaping up to be a house purveyor and this track solidifies his place in the pantheon of the "new electronic" house movement. Kenny Bobien's "Rise Above the Storm" is house at its best; an infectious hook layered with strong vocals and buttery beats. Rounding off the cd is a track by the new master of the house movement in Europe Kevin Yost. He is taking house to new heights by embracing wind and string instruments and downplaying the drum machines. The saxaphone solo at the beginning and end of this track will have you humming for weeks to come. DJ Deep's mixing is deftly controlled with a true understanding of transition. Stick it in your player, strap on a pair of good headphones and wear out the carpet in your living room.

      Julian Bream not only plays the guitar, and the lute
      (although purists and I suspect Bream himself would say rather unconventionally), but most of all, Bream plays MUSIC. This is very, very important. There are many fine guitarists around today, but I doubt any could match Bream's sheer musicality when these recordings were made.
      This 28 CD box set is a lesson in music making, regardless of what instrument is being played. The recordings are the complete RCA Bream catalogue from 1959 to 1989. If you can find the complete box set or even any of the individual volumes, I suggest you make the purchase. (Shame on RCA and BMG for not keeping this box set and "all" the individual volumes in print.)
      Some of the higlights of Breams remarkable talent are his
      interpretations of Britten's "Nocturnal", Walton's "Five Bagatelles", the instrumental and vocal works (with tenor Peter Pears) of Dowland, the "first" complete guitar works of Villa-Lobos, a thorough history of the guitar in Spain from the Renaissance to the Present on period instruments, plus all the works that have become classical guitar standards by Bach, Sor, Giuliani, Albeniz, Rodrigo, plus the "new" standards by Brouwer, Arnold, Berkeley, Britten, Walton, etc.
      Music making of this caliber is rare indeed. Buy it if you can find it. Good Luck !

      If you can find this set buy it fast. There are not to many of these left out there. This has it all. Plus Julian Bream is the greatest guitarist of all time.

      Who don't want to have a wonderful classical guitar collection? Well, this pack consists in 28 CDs, more than 1.000 minutes of music, distribuited by different titles as Baroque Guitar, Spanish Guitar, etc. Some highlights are here, like Asturias, Fernando Sor variations on Mozart's Magic Flute, Paganini Grand Sonata, all Preludes and Etudes of Villa-Lobos, and, well, lots of really good things. Also, there are some cds Julian Bream plays Guitar with Orchestra, or with Harpsichords. Ah, he plays lute in some too. Unfortunately, there are 2 or 3 cds where a tenor sings and another which a woman says some poems, and those, in my opinion, are not very nice. So, it's a good collection, and if you can, buy it!!
