5 out of 5 stars The hardest house around.......2005-11-01

Xtreme literally takes techno-driven house to the extreme with its compilations, featuring some of the biggest remixers of the genre. Two powerhouse vocal tracks open the set-the Johnny vicious mix of Byron Stingly, and the Junior Vasquez mix of Catapila, which I think is one of Junior's all time best mixes. Slammin' techno riffs follow by brutal bill, plasmic honey, mike ski, and more. My only real complaint is the cover of "it's a fine day" by Miss Jane-it's just one of those songs that has always gotten under my skin-but at least the Jonathan Peters mix lives up to the quality of mixes on this disc. 5 out of 5 stars cheems from south philly.......2000-07-01

this cd is da bomb. it makes you want to go clubing all night long. recently at egypt nightclub on the waterfront in south philly, miss jane performed live. i had no idea who she was but her song was bangin. the next day i had to buy it. me and my friends all went out and we must have bought 15 of her cd's in 15 minutes. we constantly sing the line"it's a fine day people open windows they leave their houses just for a short walk.also recently i saw jonah in concert at club shampoo. we went because of the song shhh....listen. you must buy this cd. and come to philly and see where da party's at egypt at da waterfront and shampoo. banginnnnnnnnnnn

3 out of 5 stars **party party**.......2000-06-30

This CD is perfect for a wild party. It would give you a perfect trance. I only gave it three stars because they "ruined" one song that I LOVE, which is IT'S A FINE DAY by Miss Jane. A lot of mixes in this CD, so if you want new beats to old songs, go for it. But if you like the songs as they are, this is a bad choice.

4 out of 5 stars Not as good as volume 1, but still slammin'.......2006-10-02

Volume one of xtreme underground was more consistent in terms of featuring loads of hard house tracks with serious techno riffs. Volume 2 seems to have some filler, like "The Oompa Song", and the atrocious remake of Striesand's Woman In Love. But it also has some standouts, like "Get Ready for The Ride" and diva tracks like Shannon (only 4 minutes!) and Veronica. Still, the energy level just doesn't stay at a great high, and the tracks become almost cliche by the end (check out the over-the-top drama of the opera techno track "dance the night" for example).

4 out of 5 stars X-treme Underground 2.......2000-11-05

The best dance compilation I have heard in a long time and will really get you groovin. Similar to your Webster Hall and NYC Underground CD's but all new songs. Overall great work from X-treme Records and check out there first CD also.
