Singapore's premier underground and internationally acclaimed club - Zouk, is proud to announce the international release of their first double mixed CD, RHYTHM1. The first of a four-part series, which showcases the music policy at Asia's number one club, Zouk.
CD1 features the pounding beats that rock the main room every weekend, mixed by Aldrin. If Zouk has a musical ambassador, it's Aldrin. Since beginning his residency in 1996, he's become Singapore's most internationally prominent DJ, winning accolades from the likes of Danny Tenaglia and leading Muzik magazine to cite him as him as "one of the world's finest residents". For the mix, Aldrin mashes up a cross section of styles, featuring tracks and remixes from a wide variety of producers like Sander Kleinenberg, Peace Division, Chus & Ceballos, Umek and Aril Brikha.
CD2 showcases the musical highlights at Zouk's Velvet Underground night, mixed by Jeremy Boon. A stalwart with the club since day one playing almost every sub-genre of electronic music that has popped up since, Jeremy Boon has evolved over time to become one of Singapore's most influential DJs. Jeremy's mix focuses on the elements of Soul, Jazz, Afro & Brazilian influences, eloquently stringed together in the true spirit of House. Featuring timeless music by François K., Osunlade, Kyoto Jazz Massive, King Britt, Sise and Joe Claussell, it's definitely not a chill out session, but more a reflection of the peak time action in Velvet.
