      extremely rare early 80's dark industiral synth electro - I owned all these 12inches on vinyl and cannot find most of these bands on cd like vicious pink and big man restless. But also the tracks are perfectly mixed. Out of print now so pick it up. I can't criticize one track here. I wish they would come out with more compilations!

      This collection of well-mixed early 80's obscure tracks is really a hard to find documnetation of a sound that I would descibe as sinisterwave / and neo-romantic. Romantic but cold, hard but poetic. I recommend this album as a part of hisotry that is so relevant to todays elctro sound.This is one of my top 10 cd's of the last 10 years.

      For those who've happily leapt aboard the nu-electro, electro-clash, vintage-new-wave (etc. etc.) bandwagon, this disc salutes you. Compiled as a testament to the origins of the likes of Fischerspooner, Ladytron, Felix da Housecat and others, "Seire Noire" attempts to catalog the charmingly diverse pioneers of the seminal dark-pop scene, ranging from Alan Parsons to John Carpenter to Kissing the Pink. Not so much a dance disc as a series of mood slices and goth-precursors, this isn't any kind of winking, irony-drenched homage to new-wave -- this is the real thing.
