Some didgeridoo music is just an excuse for somebody to honk and growl, while machines fill up the spaces. Not so for New York's Didjworks, whose aural landscapes are well designed, with aptly chosen samples and techno beats. Breath and drones, classical strings and mouth bows dance around distant chants and sitar. Producer, composer and didg player Simon 7 lets no instrument stand in the forefront long, as stereo sweeps and echoes sculpt a mid-tempo world of sound that's pleasing, non-intrusive and full of surprises. "Universal Language" has bits that recall Hendrix's "May This Be Love," while "Earth Tribe"'s shenai suggests the old spiritual "Down By the Riverside." --Sule Greg Wilson

      I had never even heard of Didjworks, but when I started playing the didj two years ago, I thought it would be a great instrument to mix with trance/house beats. I was just randomly searching for any music with the didj and this popped i bought the cd and it's awesome. It's the perfect cd for just chillin with friends and....well I think you get the idea. BUY IT!

      All their cd's are great but this one happens to be my favorite, especially "Earth Tribe". Each time I hear it, I really love its 'simple complexity'. It really allows you to appreciate the value and beauty of different instruments and the musicians behind it that can create such an amazing piece. And besides, it's just a fun piece. You won't regret buying this cd!

      This is the future of young modern music. The vibes move into your soul and the dance beats blended with tribals wood winds is unbelivable. It's some thing new I tell you. Beautiful. To see them playing on the streets and in the tunnels of NEW YORKS undergrounds is an experience I value greatly.
