Still one of my favorate CD's!.......2006-11-15
I have been a DOA fan from the very beginning, having discovered the group while working in a record store in New Orleans back in the eary 80's. I had lost track of the group after the nude CD was released back in '89. It was a great surprise when I discovered, just by change, that this CD was avalable when I bought it back in '98. Besides all of the songs being great, I had forgotten what a strong and unique voice Pete Burns really has. And it shines. With the exception of the "Spin round" being used again and rehashed, this is still one of my favorate CD's, and I am looking forward to new music being released in the future.
And I Thought They Were Dead.......2006-02-23
I discovered (quite by accident) that DOA were very much ALIVE when I discovered this CD. I know it's a Japanese import, but I didn't care. There are a total of 15 songs on this CD (4 remixes--2 of "Spin Me" and 2 of "Sex Drive"). The two remixes of "Sping Me" didn't do a thing for me. DOA will NEVER improve on the 12" Murder Mix of that song. Other than than, I liked all but one cut, i.e. "I'm a Star." I hadn't heard Pete's voice in so long and he didn't appear to have lost a thing.
The reason I didn't give this CD a 5 is because of the sound quality--very poor on some cuts. I could have the volume turned just about ALL THE WAY UP on my stereo system (and my system isn't cheap), but yet several of the songs sounded muted--some to the point of being soft.
Other than that, I recommend this one. Nukleopatra and Sleep With You are standouts.

well peter burns aka better known as dead or alive scores a hughe 5 stars for this great works of techno talent. dead or alive still have what it takes to more than spin you right round with this cd. i been a d or a fan from cd #1 till now. this is their finest to date. the sound is well mixed & by far the songs are the best yet to come from d or a. lets hope this isnt peter burns last god knows he still has what it takes to make a master piece. Nukleopatra one of the best!.......2005-06-13
This is a very very good CD by this band!! I was surprised actually at how good it really is! The title song is phenomenal as well as all of the other songs! The band proves that they still have what it takes in Spades to make a great dance album and stay creative and interesting! If only they could get America to get over You Spin Me Round and move on to the new music they are producing! Still a great great band!

This is a really great CD! If you're a DoA fan, you should really check it out. Although it's from 1998, it still has some of that awesome DoA 80's sound that everybody loves (mixed with some new stuff too). The You Spin Me Round mixes get kind of old but I've listened to the new songs over and over again since I got it. This is definately a must buy.

All the fluff withOUT SAWing........2006-01-30
Pete out does himself with this collection of gems. I can't help but compare these compositions with rare gems. Oh, I can't speak. The lyrical content is full and just campy enough to keep it fun. The instrumentaion COVERS Pete like a silk robe. You'll find yourself closing your eyes and lying back. Then, just when you least expect it, you'll pump it off and dance the day away. Not a filler found. Great. Take that George Michael.
Australian version.......2005-11-08
This CD is by far one of the best they have ever done and there are many different releases and versions of the songs depending on what country you import it from!! This version is from Australia and is better than the American release but the Japanese version is absoultely the best recording and versions of Nukleopatra available!! Nukleopatra is great no matter which one you buy ..even the American version is great but if you want the best go for the Japanese with Pete wearing the Mini mouse ears on the cover! Exceptionally good work!
Better than ever!!.......1999-09-16
Love this CD!!! I love this Australian Import cover better than the American!! Of course it is unavailable with this cover now and mine was stolen!! Oh well it is one of their best offerings and I highly recomend it no matter what cover pic ya get!!! Particularly like the remake of Blondies Picture This!!!
Burnsy's Back & You're Gonna Be in Trouble!.......1999-05-15
After the disasters of their (his?) (her?) 1996(?) abandoned American Tour and the mediocre Fan The Flame, Dead or Alive-Pete Burns in all her regal glory- digs up the past and turns it into what every 80's DorA music fan wants: 80's trash disco to a 90's techno beat. This version contains different mixes of many songs vs. the domestic cd. It makes me proud to be a child of the 80's...at last! If you're still reading this, I think you should click outta here and buy this cd. For Pete's sake! P.S. You Spin Me 'Round 2000 is HERE-My Dream, My Nightmare (in Wax)! Love,
