    This double mix is of old school house tunes. A few of thew are 15 years old now. So yes, to some this CD may sound cheesey or dated. But if taken for what it is, a collection of house songs flawlesly mixed back in 94, then you may truely enjoy it. It has a different energy than todays house music. And let's face it, Collins and Loria are masters at what they do. If you want house music, then give this a try.

      This album is chock-full of excellent early trip/hop tracks most influenced by jazz and r&b. This (and the Volume 2 edition) introduced me to trip-hop and eventually electronic music in the early 90's, and to this day I still listen to it when I want some mellow but not at all boring or newagey music to chill by. Kruder & Dorfmeister, Massive Attack, Portishead and Hooverphonic fans will probably find this record to their liking. The track "To the Bone (Let's Get Stoned)" has a great beat that would fit any party, while other tracks are downbeat and laid back.

      Best known for is Bangin The Box series...this is a less known treat for Bad Boy Bill fans. It is a megamix of various house styles as is typical of Bad Boy Bill (who does megamixing like no one else can). It was done at around the same time as Bangin Vol. 2 & own can easily hear the similarities in the dating of the songs (96 in my opinion was by far the best that house has ever gotten). For this reason, I think that this CD is his second best offering (Bangin Vol. 2 being the first & GREATEST house CD ever made!) I like Bangin Vol. 2 a lot better because I think that the order of the songs is better than what this CD has. Bangin Vol. 2 mixed the different styles of house (hardcore, underground, Mainstream, club, etc.) together so that there were never any more than two songs of similar style together creating a groove that is unstopable & a drive that is relentless. This CD ( Gloga House Culture) has a few spots that drag a little because Bad Boy Bill chose to block the style together more creating a few sections where the you just get tired of the same old stuff & want to hear new sounds. But these blocks are few & do not last very long before he kicks in a new song & recaptures your attention. Overall, I recommend this for any fan of Bad Boy Bill & also is a good first Bad Boy Bill CD to pick up. Ths CD definitely shows you what Bad Boy Bill is all about without going into hyperdrive that is common on his other CDs.

      Frankie Bones, the grandfather of American Techno, doesn't miss a beat withthis CD. Great mixing and track selection from the beginning to the end. This studio CD really captures what Frankie is all about live, keeping the party going with non-stop tech beats. I love the Frankie intro on all his CD's and tihs is no exception to the rule.

            This CD is a great example of where Trance and Progressive came from! The tracks are authentic club hits from the early days. For those who are looking for somethng new or fresh, look elsewhere. For those who want to take a glimpse of where Trance and Progressive came from, then this CD is a must! I highly reccomend this CD for the old school enthusiasts.

            This is the beginnings of what progressive house/trance is today. this cd contains 2 classic mixes from Sasha and Dave Seaman and it is clear that these are the roots of the sounds Sasha has put forward in other outstanding mixes, notably the northern exposure II westcoast edition and northern exposure III. Though it does not carry the mystique of the renound renaissance mix collection 1 or 2 this does give a glimpse of these for a fraction of the price. As for Dave Seaman, having most of his releases, again this is a top notch effort from him and does not dissapoint. If your into the classic house/trance type music this is a must have. Cheers!!

            this is defiantly not rap or hip hop to me, it is house/progressive trance. i got the stress compilation in a used cd store. it caught my eye, cause the first half of the cd is mixed by dj sasha, and the second half is mixed by dave seaman. I loved the way the whole cd flowed. seaman's half completely blew me away. a great cd.
