HOT PUMPING EURODANCE...NO FILLER!.......2000-06-25

Finally...somebody who knows how to make a REAL Euro compilation without any of the typical Housey filler tracks that pervade so many other releases. All tracks here are hot, even if they're not all extended versions (a downer, but acceptable given the odds of ever finding this type of music released on an American label). If you want pure beat-heavy pounding Euro with lots of synth blasts, throbbing keyboard bass, and beautifully melodic choruses, this is it! Each song is separate (in other words, this is not a mix CD) and therefore retains its own individual traits. Too many Euro mix CD's make all the tracks sound alike by weaving them in and out of a central drum track, or else force upon them House remixes that are completely inappropriate. Fortunately for us, this is not the case and, as a result, this is a wonderful CD. This album is the result of a new licensing agreement between Megahit Records (a new label started by Jeff Johnson of the now-defunct Interhit Records) and the Italian Eurodance powerhouse label S.A.I.F.A.M. Hopefully, there will be many future releases in this series. Many of the tracks are licensed directly from S.A.I.F.A.M. (such artists as TH Express, A Kay BJ, DJ Miko, and Radiorama), but many others are licensed from other European labels (artists such as Dr. Alban, La Cream, and Hit 'N Hide). A great party starter (or a great CD to work out to), this is a must in the collection of any serious dance music fan.
