Michael Paoletta, Billboard Magazine
"...Blow-Up bring a smile to the face and a twitch to the soles of the feet."

Product Description
BLOW-UP blend modern electronic rhythmic rawness in their production style, with vintage pop sensability in their song writing. Guest performances on Exploding Plastic Pleasure, include the vocals of the legendary Deborah Harry of Blondie, the street smart and always controversial spoken word chanteuse Lydia Lunch, and the late Dee Dee Ramone of The Ramones. This US debut album, Exploding Plastic Pleasure by BLOW-UP is packed with amazing tracks and is definitely a "must hear". Exploding Plastic Pleasure, by Blow-Up, is an instant electroclash party staple.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars and the beat goes on.......2004-08-14

I saw this cd while shopping for something else and i saw the rave reviews it got from other customers as well as editorial pieces. Blow up has just remixed Madonna's "Love Profusion" which I own and its brilliant! So I purchased their(blow-up) cd also because of the Debbie Harry track. This cd has put me in a good mood since i got it. The only way I can describe this disc is it's very accessible euro disco pop new wave via hardcore cutting edge electronica. If you love Debbie Harry you will flip for both versions of Uncontrollable Love. Get it now you won't regret it!

5 out of 5 stars thanks Blow-Up you made my day.......2004-05-21

I'm so happy I got this album and I can't stop playing it.
It's a great album you can dance to or drive fast when in your car, on the prowl, pumping it loud. I love every songs. thank you blow-up.

5 out of 5 stars Blow-Up VS Blondie.......2004-05-19

I went to see the Blondie and Blow-Up show here in Seattle at the Music Box theatre. Blow-Up opened the show with an amazing Dj set, something that I never heard before. A mix of different styles smashing up the dance floor with an incredible intensity. They played a lot of songs from their album (that I bought a month ago) and they announced remixes that they have done including the fantastic Love Profusion by Madonna, an upcoming Yoko Ono track & the new Blondie song Good Boys. The remixes are so amazing. After their set I went to talk to them and they were great (and cute).
UP UP UP.

5 out of 5 stars Exploding Lips.......2003-11-17

I haven't heard of Blow-Up before I got my Flaming Lips "Ego Tripping at the Gate of Hell ep". I liked what they have done to it and soon after I bought the Blow-Up "Eploding Plastic Pleasure" lp. Good songs and production. I think they have great potential.

4 out of 5 stars Nice set of cutting edge dance music.......2003-08-23

IT is interesting to see the fall out from the electroclash movement. The good thing is that people are getting over the joke/novelty aspect of it.

This leaves room for bands like Exploding Plastic Pleasure, who are not electroclash but should benefit from the more open mind feeling about edgy electronic dance pop.

Yeah, in the end this is "just" club music, but done very well and with originality. The Deborah Harry track is by the best cut and the Fr/action remix ROCKS! (hehehehe).

One of the better dance music albums I have heard in 2003. Cutting edge but accessible.
