Product Description
"Reflections: A Guided Meditation" is a CD co-created with Barb Schommer, RN and Healing Touch instructor and Tami Briggs, Therapeutic Harpist. Barbs soothing speaking voice and Tami's original harp compositions guide you on a contemplative journey and move you through a reflective process. This CD is designed to promote feelings of deep relaxation and peace, and to facilitate life reflection and review.
Customer Reviews:
Tami won't let you reflect.......2007-07-03
The use of a forceful, halting, overly enunciated speech pattern makes this a terrible disc for relaxation. None of the language seems to flow naturally from the speaker. Is she trying to "keep time" or end the spoken word before the harp solos? The first script leaves something to be desired, too. Harp music is nice, but the second track zaps you wide awake and the startling voice begins again. The music for track 2 is too active for drifting into peaceful place.
Reflections on 'Reflections'.......2005-11-16
Splendidly tranquil...soul soothing! For those who are new to meditation, this guided meditation gently transports you to deeper levels. For those who meditate regularly, this tool is a wonderful addition to your routine, with the combination of harp and voice calming your day. Enjoy!

Something about it..........2005-09-27
There's something about Aeoliah (and this CD in particular) that I find particularly relaxing, soothing, even euphoric. I have a rather large collection of "new age" music, and it's rare that any of it affects me the way this music does. When I put on the headphones and listen, I find myself not so much listening to the music as absorbing it. Soon, I'm in a sort of twilight state where the concerns of the world are left behind completely. I can't emphasize enough how rare it is that music affects me this way -- it need not be listened to "actively" the way a lot of music requires in order to enjoy it. I do recommend headphones for this music -- just put them on, and (although best listened to while relaxing in bed or on a comfortable chair/couch with no distractions) there's no need to concentrate on the music. Just relax and allow Zen Peace to carry you away.
My highest recommendation -- 5 stars.

Customer Reviews:
Peace Process is the name of the PD mix.......2002-04-03
Finding their style of thumping progressive house now en vogue, with DJ's Lawler, Tenaglia, Lottie and more working Peace Division tunes into sets, the timing couldn't be better for Clive Henry and Justin Drake to release a mix disc and follow-up to their debut album Junkyard Funk.
First off, ignore the recent press critiques of "boring being the new interesting," as if music must either pack hooks or incessant beats in every experience. Granted, many of the songs here (especially the first three) are essentially polished beat tracks with little accompaniment to stick in your memory, but it's still a worthy bass-heavy experience for the speakerphiles.
Having said that, Kenneth Graham's "Protons" is legitimately dull and the grating vocal "beat of a drum" on said-named tune mixed by Peace Division themselves wastes a thumping backbone. Just a small misstep in a roundup of underground selections `spotters are unlikely to find elsewhere, many chosen for their decidedly tech slant; a rewarding change from their typical and notably absent tribal rhythms. Though there is only one peak song, Danny Morales' "Life Me" is a throttled crowd-pleaser that requires the subsequent dub tune just to cool off.
Whether press feedback and an aversion to popular pleasers prevents a wide release or follow-up remains to be seen. I say grab this groove-centric set while you can. 3.5 stars
