The fourth in the Transglobalnation series to be released in just over two years, DJ Nicholas Bennison has gone out of his way to inject some edge into the smiley-face blankness of some recent trance compilations. Taking a patient line to the promised land, Bennison dwells in deep valleys of hypnotic beats, bumping up the BPM's and the dark aesthetics in tracks such as Kinesis's "Bias." He shows off the razor-sharp brooding of other melodic bits, such as the one in Kushti's "Control Zone," an exceptionally danceable but admirably dark bit of choppy keyboards and harsh rhythms. By the time Bennison peaks, on the penultimate track, "Odyssey Pt. II" from Paul King, and then finally "Primal Instinct" from DJ Eyal, it's a genuine shock to find how the disc has worked on your subconscious. Suddenly, you are possessed by an irresistible compulsion to find a dance floor... immediately. --Matthew Cooke

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The BEST Trance.......2006-05-25

This is the first cd I ever heard that was trance, and I absolutely fell in LOVE with that type of music because of it. IT starts off kinda slow in the first song but then hits hard a couple of minutes in and DOESN'T stop! It's attention getting. My favorite track has to be #8 because of the build up and overall sound. This brings back a lot of memories everytime I hear it!

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Album.......2006-04-03

Still, after all the years this is an awesome album. This is jam packed with great tracks you probably have not heard anywhere else. Even in 2006 it still sounds great. Highly recommened.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME CD.......2004-10-13

I love trance, progressive and house, and this cd seems to have a little bit of everything. The beginning kind of throws you off, it starts off slow, but if you keep with it and into track 2 you will find yourself immersed in the songs. I absolutely LOVE this cd, quite possibly my favorite (in fact I have to go buy another one cuz my first one is scratched up and won't stop skipping!)

3 out of 5 stars Great Example of Progressive.......2002-10-25

Although this CDs song choice wasn't the greatest, it was mixed well and depicts the Progressive sound!!!! If you are a fan of any Electronica genre, you could quite possibly Love this CD. Great potential!!! Check it out before you buy!

5 out of 5 stars Simply the greatest in trance/house!.......2002-08-26

I'm not a pure tranceaholic, but I have listened to many different trance artists, some known well and some less known, but this is my favorite trance cd. every song seems great to me, and not only that, but every song blends together perfectly. Nicholas Bennison is a genius, and his two other CDs, Trance Global Nation 2 and Crystal Vol. 2 are great also. TGN4 starts off with a kick, slows down and is more melodic in the middle, and then goes out with the best finish ever. every track is a work of art, this is a must have if you like progressive trance/house.
