St. John's best.......2005-03-04

This CD has some good workout songs, and some not-so-good. The first 5 tracks are just cheesy little party songs that aren't very good for a workout. But the positive thing about this is that the songs don't get much worse toward the end of the CD. They're all good, unlike the later volumes of Work This.

St John's BEST.......2000-08-25

Too bad there isn't infinate stars 4 rating. This IS St. john's BEST cd, it has a GREAT selection of songs, like all of his cd's. It is absolutely FLAWLESS, the mixing style is great too. no errors, and the songs mix in with each other so smoothely. The beats per minute are right on target. I promise you that you'll NEVER get tired of this cd. St. John has a good style of mixing and always puts on the best tracks. Also check out Work This Part 2, it also has great tarcks, and same flawless style. Shout to St. John (he's my role model)

MUST LISTEN.......2000-02-10

If you are a club fan, a rave fan, or just like to occasionally cut loose, you have GOT to check this one out! The mix is FLAWLESS and the selection 1st rate. Actually had the chance to see St. John spin live at a Northern California event New Year's. OFF THE HOOK! Check out his Fierce House 2 also. Same vibe....same style....same NRG!

Fun and fabulous.......1999-10-09

This is a GREAT workout CD. The music is continuous and the selection and mix is really good. The bpm stays about the same with each song, making transitions between songs within the workout seemless. There are good songs to listen to and to sing to. All are great to dance to. Discs like this are few and far between. I rarely will choose discs that are mixed by local radio station DJs, but this has been an exception. I highly recommend it.

Some things about the CD.......2005-02-16

I'm sure I'm probably the only wierdo who cares about the problem I am about to describe, but, oh well. The song "Got the Groove" by SM-Trax has mixing at the end into "You Got My Love" and it isn't a separate track. Also, the lengths of some of these songs caused there to be more edits than necessary in other really good songs like "Don't Stop" by ATB and "Get Get Down" by Paul Johnson. I think that St. John tends to have a lot of good songs toward the beginning and the middle of his cd mixes, but the ones toward the end are not usually as good. For instance, I thought that everything from tracks 2-9 on here were really good, but everything after that just isn't good.

GREAT NRG.......2000-06-11

It's great to watch the evolution of this DJ. While Work This 2 focuses more on the mainstream than his "It's My Time..." CD, I find St. John's mixing skills and music selection to be on par, if not better, than most of the "big names" on the scene. His understanding of the music is INCREDIBLE! You WON'T be disappointed!

This CD has to be one of the best St. John has put out! This is my 4th CD of St. John and it's DA BOMB!! A great mix of house and progressive!! Buy it!
