ok but a bit old.......2007-03-20
I liked this but the sounds are a bit old now... I like the more energetic stuff coming from Europe currently -- for example EURO CLUB HITS VOL. 1 which is on iTunes and Rhapsody and etc.
This is your night... dancing until the morning light..........2007-03-12
This CD is awesome! I love it! It makes you want to dance all night!
THE BEST!.......2005-03-08
This awesome CD reminds me of my senior year of high school at the American School of the Hague in the Netherlands. Weekends were spent dancing my butt off to these awesome songs, I miss eurotechno, and eurodance! To anyone who loves to dance this is a must, not to mention this CD will have you moving at the gym!
An ok dance CD.......2003-11-30
This is an ok dance CD. Only about 4 good dance tracks worth the listen such as "Who Do U Love" - Deborah Cox, "Be My Lover" - La Bouche feat. Melanie Thornton, "Dreamer" - Livin' Joy, "Beautiful Life" - Ace of Base. The rest is basically pretty boring. Not a great dance CD, but still an ok one. Get this only if you like most of the tracks and artists on this dance compilation album.
I MISS THIS TIME..........2003-03-11

This is one of those records crafted purely to dance around to and have a great time with. "We're Going to Ibiza" has to be one of the catchiest dance-pop songs of the late '90s; luckily the rest of the Vengaboys' greatest-hits collection provides similarly hedonistic, gloriously vapid pleasures. The Vengaboys' sound is what might happen if one were to throw Ace of Base, Stardust, and Miami Sound Machine into a blender and press the Purée button. The group (two women and two men) may look like a Saturday morning Spice Girls-meets-the-Village People cartoon, but their sound is not quite as campy as they look; it's all about fun--nothing more, nothing less. --Mike McGonigal

Best music ever.......2006-02-24
This stuff is the only music that gets me moving. "We Like To Party" is the best dance song there is. http://www.petitiononline.com/vengaboy/petition.html - Help bring the venga bus back to town.
A Classic Euro Dance-Techno-Pop Album.......2005-10-29
Unlike some of the more recent entries, I didn't start listening due to commercials, but when I was living in Portugal and heard the songs played to pretty much unanimous appeal at the discotecques. 'We Like to Party' & 'Up and Down' (and the remixes) we're constants in the very last of the 90's. The latter song had it's own dance done by everyone in the clubs. I picked the album up when it dropped that year and continue to follow the Vengaboys. So for me, part of it is the memories, but alot of it is you can still not be sad and not stand still when you put on these tracks. It you like consistent sounding albums and you like upbeat, fun songs with dance beats, then I recommend you pick up this album.
Completely Unpretentious and Positively FUN.......2005-09-16
Okay, I admit it: I got sucked in by that Six Flags commercial too. Glad that I did! There's no deep, dark, hidden messages in songs like 'Boom Boom Boom' and 'We Like to Party' - just happy bouncey beats. If you like techno, dance or Europop you need to add this to your collection.
Must Have.......2005-08-18
I really enjoyed it and it was very nice to have to CD since i do work at a SIX FLAGS and when ever some on askes me about the song I know what Im talking about. It has fun music and will make you in a good mood.

This is the Best CD to listen to when you need a happy lift in
your mood.

Customer Reviews:
Great Debut for Great Boy-Band from Great Britain.......1999-03-02
Take That & Party, the debut album from british boy-band Take That is a strong debut album from a band who would soon reach world wide success. It features more of a dance club feel than their later albums and spawned a string of hit single including "Promises", "It Only Takes A Minute", "I Found Heaven", "A Million Love Songs", "Once You Tasted Love", and the US club favorites "Could It Be Magic" and "Do What U Like". The album features singer/songwriter Gary Barlow on most tracks, but also features Robbie Williams on key tracks. At this time, fellow 'That-ers' Mark Owen, Howard Donald & Jason Orange were not singing lead on any tracks (I don't think Jason ever did).
Besides the string of singles, the album features many other noteworthy moments including "Give Good Feeling", which would later become an international success for Latino boy-band 'Magneto', the inspirational ballad "I Can Make It", the light hip-hop influenced "Satisfied" and "Take That & Party", and the mid-tempo songs "Why Can't I Wake Up With You", and "Never Gonna Let You Go".
The whole album from start to finish and back to re-start, is superb. The only track I didn't much care for, and I haven't figured out why yet, is "Once You Tasted Love". It's not that it's a bad song, but for whatever reason it just rubs me the wrong way. I have heard that the US version of this album has different versions of "Could It Be Magic" and "Why Can't I Wake Up With You", but since I haven't had the opportunity to hear the British version of this LP, I can't make comparisons.

The best song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-04-30
I love this song I had danced it with my partners in front of the class and we think we are going to do this song in the tallent show!! It's so fun we get to wear our fathers ties, pink shirts, blue jeans, and our colorful stramers/ribbons that we all made together!!!!!
Love it!.......2004-07-07
After hearing the Six Flags commercial and finding out that this was the song used....I just had to get it! Very catchy, and peppy...and the price just couldn't be beat. Thanks Amazon!
Now I can play the song whenever (and wherever) the mood strikes. Highly recommend to all, like me, with an eclectic mix of music.
We like to Party.......2004-07-06
I second Patrrick from Anaheim's review.
I just love it when the Six Flags commercial comes on.
I never really knew the title until they played it at our local Fourth of July parade. I had to go over and ask what it was
Hilariously Entertaining.......2004-05-06
I have no idea what the rest of these people are complaining about. It's a great dance beat, simple and funny song. The fact that Six Flags has used it in their first ad campaign in over 7 years just adds to it's hilarity. The little old man dancing to it busts me up every time I'm lucky enough to catch it on the TV. Here's a clue to those of you whining that you can't stand it.... Turn the radio to another station, change the TV channel or leave the dance club that's smart enough to play this upbeat catchy tune, but for God's sake, quit whining already! No ones holding a gun to your head and making you listen.

Album Description
Canadian pressing of the European techno-pop group's 1998 debut album featuring different tracks than the U.S. edition: it drops the American release's 'Vengababes From Outer Space' in favor of six other cuts, 'Up And Down', 'Parada De Tettas', 'Overwhelm Yourself', 'All Night Passion', '24 Hours' and 'To The Rhythm'. 16 tracks total, also featuring the international hits 'We Like To Party!', 'Boom Boom Boom Boom!!' and ''We're Going To Ibiza'. Standard jewel case.
Customer Reviews:
Purely party music.......2005-03-21
The Canadian edition of 'The Party Album!' is a good introduction to the world of electronic music, but after a few years, you'll begin to see how average it truly is. The album starts off with the purposefully silly 'We Like to Party!' and continues the four-on-the-floor Europop with the hit 'Boom Boom Boom Boom'. Needless to say, the lyrics are not the focus of either song. Other Europop tracks on the album, particularly 'Ho Ho Vengaboys' and 'We're Going to Ibiza' don't fare as well as the first two; the production value is seriously lacking on these, and will become obvious on repeat listens. Where the album shines, however, are the lyric-less pure techno cuts, especially the glorious '24 Hours'. With these ones, it's obvious producers/DJ's Danski and Delmundo know how to construct some high quality trance. Latin flavoured songs like 'Parada de Tettas' do their job, but are by no means brilliant. 'The Party Album!' is exactly that- music to party to, with no intention of breaking any boundaries or being particularly original... and it does what it sets out to do. Recommended as a intro to electronica or for some party music, not recommended to fans of IDM or more avant-garde genres. This is Euro, baby.
You HAVE to love this one..........2002-03-26
This Canada import is EVEN better than the American version. The entire album is a brilliant achievement in music overall, with each song providing non~stop enjoyment. The only mistake I can point out on this album is "Overwhelm Yourself" which I find mildly disturbing at the only speaking part in the middle where a voice says "The young...overwhelm themselves...with drugs and other artificial stimulants"...NO! lol!
But that aside, this album is PERFECT for anyone who wants to have a wonderful time and forget about their problems...there are just no words. :)
If you like to groove, buy this album!.......2001-12-31
The Vengaboys 'Party Album' is always in one of my CD players. You can pop it in, and leave it because every song is great and it's perfect anytime. It doesn't matter if your in the car, cooking, or just sitting around; it's great! If you have ears, BUY THIS ALBUM!!!
Vengaboys Rule!!!.......2000-08-18
All Vengaboys Albums are awesome, this is the all time best one though, I recommend it to anyone who likes them, and keep on buying VENGA!!!

Customer Reviews:
Not bad, but could be better.......2005-09-22
It's only a couple of good songs on the whole CD, rest of the staff could be selected with better care. Still it's nice to have for anyone who likes to collects 80-s disco music.
Not that good....................2004-02-11
I just received this CD today, and I must say that I'm a bit disappointed. Growing up as a kid, "Lady of Ice" was my favorite European dance song. To me, it's one of the songs that defines this genre of music. On this compilation, there's 4 other decent tracks, specifically "Slice Me Nice", "Bolero", and the 2 new versions of "Flames of Love". The updated versions is definitely a huge improvement over their original 80's versions.
The rest of the tracks on this CD are unfortunately very dreadful. For a compilation, I had much higher expectations. I would have rated this CD at 2 stars, but the greatness of "Lady of Ice" bumps it up to 3 stars.
Great for Italo or Euro disco fans.......2003-02-20
When I popped in this CD, the 80's came back to me.
Slice Me Nice and Lady of Ice were favorites of
mine back then, but there are other nice songs
here as well. However, if you are an Italo fan,
you might be more interested in one of the
Italo collection CD's that're out there, and get
Fancy that way (along with Patty Ryan, Gazebo,
Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue and other cool 80's
artists!)
His best collection so far, but only 3 stars.......1999-04-08
I love Fancy, and this is probably the first decent collection he released. The problem is that he has recorded so many beautiful songs over 10 or so years since 1985 that it's hard to put the best ones on one CD. I would do a double at least. I do not particularly agree with the choice of songs on this one, as well as with the versions of some songs. "Flames of love '98" is rather disappointing and only updates the electronics but does not add much to that wonderful song. Fancy followed steps of Modern Talking, Bad Boys Blue, C.C.Catch, Silent Circle, and other Euro-disco legends trying to cash in on remixing old material. It might sound fresh if he was the only one doing it, but they're all into it now. This collection is a good blend of 80s and 90s dance- pop and is good for those who are not very familiar with Fancy and would not know what they are missing from his old recordings. I stick with his original albums, of which Flames of Love (1988) is the best.
Very new wAvy!.......1999-03-02
This album brings back ole memoirs of the new wave era. Its an overall great album to consider buying if you're into new wave or eurodance music. If you do no kno Fancy, he is a great artist like Modern talking and Bad Boys Blue.

Customer Reviews:
Good titles, but has problems.......2003-01-05
I bought this CD because of its excellent selection of titles. But found that three songs have some of the on-screen words missing. Which makes it difficult if you're not really familiar with the song.
Wouldn't Buy.......2002-03-02
Wanted to buy this but wouldn't because there are no song titles
Where are the titles?.......2000-11-13
Without a list of song titles I am unlikely to order a Kareoke CD.

Another winning dance compilation........2003-03-01
This third entry in the Ultimate Dance Party compilation series is in my opinion, the weakest of the UDP CDs. Some of the songs don't even have the punch like most of the previous entries. Some of the dance tracks can be downright annoying instead of getting me up on the dance floor.
"Too Close" by the R&B group next is probably one of the last great R&B hits and it's a good and groovy track and in my opinion, a minor classic although some of the dirty content in the lyrics are a little much. "Walking On The Sun" by Smash Mouth is a 60s oriented rocker that definitely has a very 60s style fused with some electronic madness. As much as I like this song, it doesn't belong on here. This song I'm embarrassed to admit to liking but I still like this song and it has recovered from the `played out' syndrome. "Feel It" by Maya and The Tamperer is a harder edged song with a mix of church bell sound effects along with thumping beats. "Free" by the group Ultra Nate is a classic R&B style dance track with a 70s or early 80s feel to it and great guitars too. I think that it's a great mix of dance, R&B, rock, and pop. The version of Diana King's "Say A Little Prayer" is another great song with a somewhat early 90s sound to it. Love this track a lot. Those who like early 90s style dance music might enjoy this song. I do. The song transitions gracefully into the next song. "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" by Deborah Cox in it's original version, is a ballad but the version on here is a lot better with a much more aggressive and crashing rhythm. "It's Like That" by Run DMC is a wonderful blend of old-school hip-hop and techno that harkens back to the lighter atmosphere of hip-hops early days. It's kind of sad listening to this song now considering that the group called it quits after Jam Master Jay was murdered last year and now rap has been deprived of its pioneering group. "Cruel Summer" by Ace Of Base is a more sketchy sounding song with a darker and more laser-like mood to it with it's strobe light keyboards and eerie atmosphere. "Kiss The Rain" by Billie Myers most of us remember back in late 1997 and early 1998. This version has some occasional chord structure altering giving the song a whole different feel. "One More Night" by Amber is an unforgettable dance number with a much darker, more urban nighttime mood as opposed to the sunnier original album version. The original on her debut album "This Is Your Night" is a mid-tempo ballad, the version on here is the dance track that we're more familiar with. Both versions are great but I like the dance version better on this compilation. I love it's futuristic mood. The Razer N Grind mix of Monica's "First Night" is in my honest opinion a monotonous dance number that doesn't do a whole hell of a lot for me. Not bad but one of my least favorite tracks on the CD. "I'm Leaving" by Lisa Stanfield is another decent song but not on par with a lot of the previous remixes of her songs but still good. The Rhythm Mix of Aretha Franklin's "A Rose Is Still A Rose" is a wonderful remix of the 1998 hit of hers. Aretha's voice sounds as great even at the time of this songs heyday as it was when she recorded "R.E.S.P.E.C.T." back in the early 60s. "Backstreets Boys "Everybody" is one of only two or three songs off their debut that I cared for. This song is not too bad and one of their better songs. The Halloween video for this song was absolutely dynamite. The album kind of goes in a bit of a slump after this song ends. "Still Not A Player" by the late Big Punisher is actually quite a good and memorable modern rap song and I actually like this song and it's kind of ironic considering how much I've come to despise the state that rap has gone into since this song's heyday. Big Punisher sadly died in early 2000. "Still Not A Player" would be the last great rap song for a while. "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See" by Busta Rhymes is a lightweight rap number that I think doesn't belong on this collection but on perhaps on the "Ultimate Hip Hop Party" compilation. Still it's not a bad song but I don't think it has enough punch to be considered a dance song. The final track "Shorty You Keep Playing With My Mind" by Imajin is a decent R&B hip-hop number and not a bad song but like the previous song, it doesn't belong on this collection either but on the "Ultimate Hip Hop Party" collection for the same reasons as the previous.
Overall, this is yet again, another winning platter of music from the compilation series. Quite frankly, they did a pretty good job by picking the better songs from the hip-hop and dance music genre of the late 90s. Even the songs that don't belong on here are good as well and even the hip-hop oriented songs are quite good as well, considering how far into mediocrity that the two genres have sadly gone into in the years after 1998. This is a worthy CD of getting.

...What FUN this album is! I Got this CD when I was just looking around in a used store and I can't believe how good the Remixes are! It includes so many of my favorite songs from that time including "Too Close" by Next, "Walking on the Sun" by Smash Mouth, "Nobody's Supposed To Be Here" by Deborah Cox, "Cruel Summer" by Ace of Base, "A Rose is still a Rose" by Aretha Franklin and "Still Not A Player" by Big Punisher featuring Joe. I really love this CD. It's just fun mixing! I was a little hesitant to listen to the one's I didn't know about but some of them ended up to be my favorites! I like listening to this album in the Car with friends...it's that much fun and takes you back a few years. There is No Britney or N Sync on this album...yeah!! If you're a fan of Remixes, do yourself a favot and Buy this album or tape, pop it in the car's stero and Rock the house!!
