Awesome First Disc, Dissapointing Second Disc.......2006-03-27

CD ONE - PARTYMANIA DANCE HITS

1. Lasgo - Something (Jimmy Goldschmitz Remix) ... A-
Good remix of a good song.
2. Sylver - Forgiven ... A-
Sylver's songs are mostly really good, and this is no different. Great vocals, decent lyrics, good music.
3. DJs@Work - Someday ... A-
Cheesy vocals but great music.
4. Absolom - Stars ... A-
Powerful vocals if cheesy. The beat is cool but is drowned out by the rest of the music. Good though.
5. Kate Ryan - Scream For More ... A
Extremely powerful song after the breakdown and the first verse. That chorus is great. Kate Ryan is an awesome vocalist - I would suggest listening to "Desenchantee" and "Only if I" as well.
6. iio - Rapture (Riva Mix) ... A
Awesome mix once the beat comes in at full force.
7. Green Velvet - La La Land ... C+
One of the most annoying but catchy songs ever. But seriously, it repeats the same verses over and over again, and the verses aren't even good. Horrible. But it's catchy so it doesn't fail.
8. Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space ... A
Amazing trance song - my favorite from Cosmic Gate by far.
9. Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Tojours (I'll Fly With You) (Blah Blah Blah Mix) ... B+
The lyrics are good and the vocals aren't that good but sound good with the music, if that makes any sense. The "Blah blah blah" at the beginning is weird but overall it's a good song.
10. Paps 'N' Skar - Get It On ... B-
Bad vocals, and overall uninteresting song.
11. Underdog Project - Tonight ... B-
I am so confused with this song.
12. Diana Fox - Sail Away ... A-
The vocals might not be amazing, but it's a good song anyway.
13. Tamara - Over & Over ... B
Uninteresting, but decent vocals.
14. Orion 2 Feat. Caitlin - You & Me (Mr. Vinx Club Mix) ... B
Again, good vocals but nothing different.
15. Intonation - Time (Clock of the Heart) ... A+
Amazing cover of the Culture Club hit.
16. Jessy - All I Need (The Mackenzie Mix) ... B+
Jessy is an amazing vocalist (as I've heard on "Look At Me Now"), but "All I Need" is nothing compared to that. The verses repeat way too much and the song has no set structure, and the music is way too simplistic for me. But she has potential.
17. Frieda - Take Me Away ... B+
Good vocals, but they've obviously been edited and altered approximately 15 different times.
18. Becca - Come and Get My Love (Bradski & Jenski Remix) ... A
Amazing remix - totally creams the original, even though the verses were ditched.
19. Nicole Brand - Together ... A
This song has massive potential; the lyrics are good and the verse is purely amazing, but the vocals are pretty bad. Can someone PLEASE cover this song?!!??!?!?

WTF?

Good party song, I guess...

Again, WTF?!

CD TWO - PARTY RADIO 2000

1. Solid Base - This is How We Do It (Exclusive Mix) ... A
Great party song.
2. Jump & Joy! - Let's Roll (I Like It) ... A-
Nice music, and again, another good party song.
3. 2AM - Celebrate 2000 ... B-
Good music, but everything else is bad and out of tune.
4. Impulse - Hold Me Forever ... B
Good song.
5. DJ Jean - The Launch (DJ Disco Mix) ... B
A bad remix of a good song.
6. DJ Bobo - Together ... B
Filtering the same music from SM Trax's songs, which is good music, but the vocals and lyrics are pretty bad, especially the rap.
7. Systematic - Everyday ... C+
I am so confused right now.
8. 2 Elvissa - I Wanna Be Your Toy ... C+
Again, what?!
9. Quick Feat. Charlotte - Need You Tonight ... B+
The music will stick in your head, I will promise you that.
10. Martina - Crazy For You ... B-
Mediocre and nothing I haven't heard before about 25,000 times.
11. Basement 3 - Dum Dum ... B-
That's what the writer of this song was.
12. Funny - Sing A Song (All Night Long) ... B-
Wow...this is pretty bad...so bad it's 'Funny'. Pun somewhat intended.
13. Pierrot - Blue Eyes Babe ... B
Decent with good music.
14. Mumm Vs. Dhany - I Wanna Be Free (Remix) ... A-
Dhany is a great vocalist, and this remix is better than the original.
15. Web - Lovin' Times ... B
Good music, but that's all that's good about this song.
16. Mike Ski - Welcome ... B-
That's very nice of you, but I'm leaving.
17. Armand van Helden Feat. Mita - Entra Mi Casa ... B+
Horribly weird, but a funny song if you know Spanish.
18. Ramirez - Mamboleo ... B-

19. SBS - Follow the Leader ... C+
Horrible version of this song.
20. Wiseguy Orchestra - Mambo Italiano ... A-
A pretty good song.

So, overall, first disc: amazing. Second disc: dissapointing. Some of the tracks will have you dancing the night away, some of the tracks will give you a headache.

FIRST DISC: A-
SECOND DISC: B-
OVERALL: B+

but this series of cds has a tendency to use a dj technic of making songs sound like they are skipping. Plus they also add some really corny tunes which you would not normally want. Granted you do have a chjance to hear songs you might not have ever had the opportunity to hear but so aren't worth the space wasted on the cd.
