Editorial Reviews
Product Description
2001 debut album for UK act glibly tagged the Wu Tang of garage. A hard, rough mixture of garage, drum & bass & hip-hop with deep, dark beats for the in-your-face lyrics of their small army of MCs (the group has 30 members). Highlights include their number one hit, '21 Seconds', 'Oh No' (Remix) & 'Woah'. 20 tracks from one of the UK's most ambitious young urban groups.

5 out of 5 stars THIS IS IT.......2003-06-10

Well here is that new link to what Aretha was doing. I saw this young Lady live and as she sat at the piano and belted out her songs it reminded me of when Aretha would sit at the piano and do the same. Angela vocals are amazing without over singing. Gospel, the blues, jazz, real soul music is alive and well in this woman.

The world of music today is a very sad one. Those with a thing called TALENT are so often ignored in a world where popularity stakes and the bottom line are what is most important to a major record label and thus the public at large.

Angela Johnson's debut album, along with recent releases by Peven Everett and the slightly more popular Donnie show that some of the best music today is happening not on the pop charts, but in a more talented underground scene.

Angela is a highly talented singer, songwriter and musician remeniscent in skill to Babyface in writing love songs with a story while her sound is like a female Musiq mixed with Alicia Keys and the new funky Babyface. The album's best tracks are those that let her show her writing skills such as "Sad Days", "Call" and "I Still Care".

This is probably one of the best Soul albums I have purchased in recent months and it is a shame that so many people are missing out on her talent. What makes it so much worse is that she actually does have the talent, songwriting abilities and good looks to make it big, but in the world we live in today, a talent like hers is not always appreciated. All I can say it that I feel like someone who has stumbled upon a rare gem and I am glad to own this album.
