Don't pick it up for the title track..........1999-06-18

This is massively disappointing considering the talent behind it. We have the vocal skills of Ya Kid K (formerly of Technotronic) and the producer skills of Robert Clivilles (aka Robi-Rob of C+C Music Factory). This is a total disaster. The vocals are really bad, the beats are just as dull and lifeless. My ears almost bleed every time I listen to it (which has only been about 4 times - each time to give it another chance, hoping that I will like it). But the good thing about this CD, is that you get 1996 remixes of the C+C Music Factory track "Robi-Rob's Boriqua Anthem" (taken from the C+C album "Anything Goes!"), the remixes are done well, sticking to the original, but at the same time adding some new fun to the mix. Purchase it ONLY for the "Boriqua" remix.

This single was produced by Ernie Lake, 1/2 of the former remix master team, Soul Solution. Here, Ernie teams up with Latin pop star Kevin Ceballo to deliver this hands in the air club anthem. I wasn't sure what to expect when buying this, but wanted to try it out given I'm a huge fan of some of Ernie's other work (both independently: Pink, "Get The Party Started"; and as 1/2 of Soul Solution: Taylor Dayne, "Whatever You Want"; Toni Braxton, "Un-break My Heart"). I bought the single and was very pleased with its offerings. "Shake That Body" is a Latin-jazz influenced dance track, sure to please clubgoers, dance music lovers and Latin jazz lovers. Ernie gives us his original version and instrumental version, as well as a dub provided by him and Johnny Vicious [M2M, "Don't Say You Love Me"; The Collaboration (Victor Calderone & Peter Rauhofer), "Do It Properly"], as well as a club remix by The Orange Factory [Digital Allies, "Without You"]. All the tracks are amazing, but my current favorite is the "Orange Twist Club Mix". Trust me on this and pick this up if you can. Track listing is:
