This is what salsa is all about. It is full of flavor and has the heat that is hard to beat. Dave Santigo knows his salsa.
It go's great with Corn-Chips also.

Decent.......2003-08-14

A solid album. Didn't blow me away though. I wouldn't use "phat" "hard" or "driving" to describe this CD for sure. More solid and soothing, with a bit of a charanga sound. "Chibola", "Infiel Amante" and "Suavito" are all good tracks. I'll be interested to hear their next album. I'd recommend this CD to persons with an already decent salsa collection. If you're just starting, there's more urgent purchases to be made!

"Phat" Salsa.......2002-08-09

I bought this cd based on the review of Vicki Sola, not knowing anything about Dave Santiago and Latin Affair. I was'nt disappointed at all, in contrary: a true "jewel", a discovery. As Vicki states it's salsa of today, but staying true to it's roots. It reminds of maybe sometimes of early Rey Reyes, Charlie Rodriguez even Henry Fiol, but clearly is of today! Really good stuff.
