This is Gothic Dark Ambient... a compilation of artists from the "Cold Meat Industry" catalogue.

Gothic and Dark are self explanatory. Ambient... its sorta like wallpaper music... except this is really evil and scary wallpaper. Like, you stare at this wallpaper and realize there are faces in it... and then, when you walk, the eyes of the faces follow you! Ooh scary!

The first few songs on the first CD show that the "artists" have had at least a cursory acquaintance with music theory... as in, I'm reasonably certain they have heard a song before. Not true for the second CD however. Microwave it before listening for the first time, as this should improve it considerably. I wish I had.

If you weren't unhappy before hearing this, you will be after. Its really derivitive, contrived, horrible music. Its as if it was produced as a parody of gothic music, but its done with a heartbreaking kind of sincerity.

As a testament of how low gothic musicians in particular, and music in general, can sink, its a sweeping success. As a pair of music CDs meant for human entertainment, its reaches a crescendo of suck that can only be described as a fiasco, somewhere in the middle of that second CD.
